Li Yunye had been with Hongmen for many years and had only taken one disciple, White. Another girl present was Mary’s close friend, Mi Wei Er, a fashion influencer from the United States with millions of followers. She wore sunglasses and heavy makeup, dressed in a deep V gown that accentuated her allure.
"White, if today goes well, don't forget what you promised me," Mary suddenly said in Huaxia Language.
"I won't forget; you can count on me," White replied with a smile.
Mary's master, Yan Xiaotian, had passed away in Huaxia, leaving her without a mentor to continue her training. Thus, she sought another master, and Li Yunye seemed like the perfect candidate.
Mary introduced Alice to White while White would speak well of her in front of Li Yunye; it was a mutually beneficial arrangement.
"What are you two talking about?" Mi Wei Er interjected with some displeasure upon hearing Mary and White converse in Huaxia Language.
"Nothing much," Mary replied with a smile before glancing toward the door and giving White a knowing look. "Alice is here; you need to put in some effort. If you manage to win her over, it will be even more surprising than winning the United States Martial Arts Championship."
"Let’s go greet her," White said with a grin as he stood up and adjusted his sharp suit before heading toward the entrance.
"Just sit tight; I forgot to tell you that Alice likes cool guys. If you're too enthusiastic, it might lower her impression of you," Mary advised with a chuckle.
"You should have told me earlier," White shot her an annoyed glance before straightening up and adopting a serious demeanor.
"It's not too late now; after all, Alice is different from other girls. Those childish attempts at flattery won’t work on her—only assertiveness can conquer her," Mary said as she waved toward the door.
Seeing them from afar, Alice walked over.
