“Master, do we really have to give him one billion?” After Jiang Chen walked away, White approached Li Yunye, expressing his reluctance.
“Let’s start with one billion this year. This person’s strength is unfathomable. Just now, I only used half of my power, but he probably only used one-tenth of his. He’s right; he can kill Yan Xiaotian, he can kill me, and he can certainly kill you. If I don’t agree, neither of us will leave here alive. Money is ultimately just an external possession,” Li Yunye said, his expression complex as he pondered Jiang Chen's words, as if contemplating a prophecy.
“Master, this is the United States, not Huaxia. Does he really dare to kill? Why don’t we send assassins to deal with him?” White suggested.
“If I can’t handle him, do you think assassins would be effective? I’ll return to Huaxia tomorrow. After I come back, we can discuss our options,” Li Yunye replied. He was now very curious about Jiang Chen's identity. Since Jiang Chen mentioned that Master Zhang from Longhu Mountain was his disciple, Li Yunye intended to verify that and inquire about Jiang Chen's background.
“Get me a ticket back to Huaxia, Shanghai. I’ll head back this afternoon,” Jiang Chen instructed Jon Delson while sitting in the car.
“Understood, Master,” Jon Delson nodded.
Meanwhile, Alice sat in the car with a dazed expression, struggling to connect the current Jiang Chen with the one she had just seen.
Soon, Jon Delson secured the ticket for Jiang Chen and drove him to the airport.
“Master, aren’t you going to stay and play for a few more days?” Jon Delson asked.
“There’s no need for that. I’ll probably go to Great Britain next month; wait for my call then,” Jiang Chen replied.
Jon Delson nodded and escorted Jiang Chen to the first-class lounge at the airport before leaving.
“Alice, what’s wrong? You seem distracted,” Jon Delson asked on the way back.
“Grandpa, how is Mr. Jiang so powerful? His abilities were incredible—more impressive than Superman!” Alice exclaimed in shock.
“If he weren’t powerful, would I call him Master? Do you really think your grandpa is confused?” Jon Delson chuckled.
Alice smiled shyly in response.
“By the way, what about your situation with White? Didn’t you say he was your boyfriend today?” Jon Delson inquired.
“Uh, I take that back. I didn’t want to marry him before, and I still don’t,” Alice admitted.
Jon Delson smiled but remained silent.
At that moment, Jiang Chen had boarded the plane. The first-class cabin was like a presidential suite in the sky, offering absolute privacy for the fourteen-hour flight from Angel City to Shanghai.
Once inside his first-class cabin and closing the door, Jiang Chen patiently waited for takeoff. Suddenly, the cabin door swung open and a young woman wearing sunglasses and standing at least five feet seven inches tall barged in. Upon entering, she locked the door behind her. Jiang Chen looked up to see a woman clad in leather attire with an impressive figure—long legs and a sharp bob haircut complemented by red lips and a striking nose that gave her an air of cold beauty.
Jiang Chen had no interest in her appearance; he was merely curious about why she had entered his first-class cabin.
The woman was also sizing up Jiang Chen. Seeing that he was just a young man eased some of her initial panic as she said, “Hey handsome, do me a favor. When someone comes looking for me later, just say you didn’t see me and don’t let them in to check.”
