"I don't know you, so why should I help you?" Jiang Chen said lightly.
"Um, if you help me, I will repay you," the young woman replied, a smile breaking across her coldly beautiful face. There was a hint of allure in her expression that would likely make any ordinary man agree without hesitation. After all, helping a beautiful woman could lead to wonderful rewards.
"Tell me why someone is after you. Once I hear your reasons, I'll consider whether to help you," Jiang Chen stated.
The beauty looked at Jiang Chen, her smile gradually fading as impatience crept in. She had expected this young man to be captivated by her beauty, but instead found him to be annoyingly verbose. However, she was in need of assistance and couldn't afford to act too high and mighty.
"There's no time. Just help me first, and I'll explain later. Besides, I'm a good person," the young woman insisted.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Just as she finished speaking, a loud knocking came from outside. The young woman quickly darted into the bathroom. In truth, hiding there wasn't very safe; the first-class cabin on the plane was quite small with little room to conceal oneself.
"Open up!" someone shouted in English from outside.
Jiang Chen stood up and opened the cabin door. Two large men in black suits stood outside—both Americans, towering over him by at least a head.
"Step aside; I need to search this place," one of the men said coldly.
The man's attitude was quite unpleasant, causing Jiang Chen's brows to furrow.
"You have no right to search here," Jiang Chen replied calmly.
"You little Huaxia punk, if you don't want to die, step aside. If we find out you're hiding that woman, you won't have a good ending," one of the men threatened in broken Huaxia Language.
"That woman is indeed hiding here. Now tell me why you want to capture her. If your reasons are convincing enough, I might let you take her away; otherwise, disappear from my sight immediately," Jiang Chen said coolly.
The woman hiding in the bathroom couldn't believe that Jiang Chen would betray her so quickly and reluctantly stepped out.
Seeing the woman actually present, the two large men wasted no time on words and moved to push Jiang Chen aside.
"Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!"
With four sharp sounds, both men's wrists were twisted 360 degrees by Jiang Chen, breaking their bones. Their hands hung limply at their wrists as they winced in pain but remained silent, showing remarkable resilience.
"You’re looking for death! Do you know who we are? How dare you stop us from doing our job!" one of them grunted through gritted teeth.
"Get lost!" Jiang Chen responded with a single word before closing the cabin door again, not bothering to engage further.
Once the door was shut, Jiang Chen sat back down and turned his attention back to the young woman.
The young woman had initially regarded Jiang Chen as an ordinary person, but now she was taken aback. Jiang Chen was actually a master; she hadn’t even seen how he had broken the wrists of those two burly men just moments ago.
This was quite embarrassing.
"Um, thank you. I’ll just return to my seat," the young woman said.
"Don't be in such a hurry to leave. Tell me, what’s going on?" Jiang Chen asked, his tone calm and unhurried.
"Actually, now that you know my identity, it won’t benefit you. You injured those two men just now, and I’m afraid you’ll have a lot of trouble because of it. But don’t worry; I’ll help you resolve it," the young woman replied.
