"Those questions and uncertainties are very natural, Neil. After all, you are walking an unknown path, exploring an unknown territory," Sophia said gently, as if her gaze could see through Neil's mind, seeing all his confusion and fear. 0

"But these uncertainties make me very uneasy. Especially in an organization like The Eye of the Philosopher, which values norms and processes, I don't know if my curiosity and questions will cause trouble," Neil said, his speech slightly faster, clearly suppressing his anxiety. 0

"In fact, curiosity and doubt are the driving force of human progress. It is also something that The organization of the Eyes of the Philosopher is unwilling to admit, but cannot avoid facing. Your curiosity and doubt may be exactly what this organization needs." Sophia looked deeply at Neil, as if encouraging him to accept his imperfections. 0

"But I am still worried that my actions will be misunderstood, and even disappoint Erin or Macol," Neil said with a wry smile on his face. 0

"Have you ever considered which is more important, their expectations or your own?" Sophia asked. 0

This question plunged Neil into deep thought. He had always been someone who followed rules and expectations, but now he suddenly realized that perhaps he should start considering his own true needs and expectations. 0

"I... I'm still not sure. But I know I need to find the answer," Neil finally said. 0

"That's the path you have to take, Neil. A path of finding yourself, while also allowing others to find themselves. Perhaps all this confusion and loss is necessary, because only through experiencing these things can people find their true selves," Sophia's words were like a beam of light, illuminating the vague shadow in Neil's heart. 0

"Thank you, Sophia. I feel like I've found some direction," Neil stood up, preparing to leave. 0

"No need to thank me, Neil. The door here is always open for you. Whenever you want, you can come back, and we can find more answers together," Sophia smiled as she saw him out. 0

Neil felt noticeably more relaxed after leaving "Wanxin Hall." He understood that all of this was part of his growth and self-exploration, as well as an indispensable part of his future missions and life journey. He also understood that "The Eye of the Philosopher," as well as himself, still had a long way to go. But at least for now, he had found a place where he could temporarily stay and find inner peace. Perhaps this was the "direction" and "sense of security" he had been looking for. 0

The next day, Neil stood once again in the central control room of the "Cosmic Interstice," with multiple screens displaying various data and real-time images of the Multiverse. He tightly held the operational guide for simulated observation in his hand, but his mind was filled with uncertainty. 0

"Neil, what's wrong with you? You look a little off," Erin walked over, her eyes always able to see through people's hearts. 0

Neil looked up, struggling to find the right words, "Erin, I feel a bit confused. I understand the goals and mission of The Eye of the Philosopher, and I'm trying to understand more about human nature and emotions. But as I stand here, I suddenly feel unsure how these insights will apply to the simulated observation I'm about to undertake." 0

Erin smiled as if she had expected it, "Neil, life is a continuous process of learning and adapting. You don't have to expect to know all the answers from the beginning. Remember, every observation, every decision, and every failure is a step towards a higher self and a deeper understanding." 0

"What do you suggest I should do?" 0

Erin walked to the front of the multiple screens and pointed to one displaying Multiverse. "Look, in this universe, every planet, every creature has its own meaning and story. Your mission is to observe them, to understand them, and through that, to understand yourself and this world. Making mistakes is inevitable, but it's also your chance to grow." 0

Neil took a deep breath. "Thank you, Erin. I understand. I will see every observation as a learning and growth opportunity." 0

"Let's get started, Neil. I believe you will do great," Erin encouraged, then turned and walked out of the control room. 0

Neil sat in front of the console, adjusted his posture, took a deep breath, and pressed the start button for the simulation observation. 0

A strange world appeared on the screen, with its creatures, environment, and culture completely different from the world where Neil was. He couldn't help but feel shocked, but then reminded himself that this was an opportunity for learning and growth. 0

Neil began to carefully observe every detail of this world. He noticed the social structure of a community, a peculiar plant, and even an astronomical phenomenon he had never seen before. He couldn't help but feel excited and curious, a feeling he had never experienced before. 0

After the simulation observation ended, Neil was still not satisfied, but at the same time, he also felt a deep sense of fulfillment. He realized that no matter how complex and unpredictable, he was willing to accept and face it. 0

"Erin is right, every observation is a valuable experience. Only by constantly seeking and learning can I find my true purpose in this world," Neil thought to himself. 0

After the simulation observation ended, Neil felt a bit tired but also very satisfied. He knew this was just the beginning, but at least he had found a way to get closer to himself and the world. 0

"Erin is right, every observation is an opportunity for learning and growth. And I finally start to learn how to walk my own path," Neil muttered to himself, then closed the observation device, ready to report back to Erin. 0

He knew that this simulated observation was just a small part of many tasks and challenges, but it was also an important step for him to move towards the future, towards a deeper understanding of himself and the world. 0

Neil felt that he was ready to face more unknowns and challenges because he knew that only by constantly seeking and learning could he find his true self and purpose. And all of this would also be an indispensable cornerstone for him as an excellent observer, and even as a better person. 0
