Yun Zhi Yue was originally a singing and dancing performer, so running was a piece of cake for her; it helped improve her lung capacity, and she was far ahead of the pack.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her and turned to see Jian Qinzhi. He kept pace with her effortlessly, his face calm and breath steady, exuding an air of surplus energy.
Glancing back at the photographer who was trailing behind, Yun Zhi Yue leaned down and whispered, "Jian Shu, don’t compete with me for first place. Choosing first is a small matter; I’m a singing and dancing performer, and this first place is about face."
"Who do you want to choose?"
Yun Zhi Yue thought for a moment. "That Ke Fan is not bad. He has a clear gaze and looks refined; I wouldn’t have to worry too much about being schemed against if we were in the same group."
Jian Qinzhi glanced at her. "Not bad."
Yun Zhi Yue felt speechless; was "not bad" his catchphrase?
The two of them ran in sync, and it was evident that Jian Qinzhi still had energy to spare. However, he stayed right beside Yun Zhi Yue, showing no signs of wanting to outpace her.
Just as everyone was fervently shipping Jun Yue, the finish line came into view, and Yun Zhi Yue smirked. She was a top-tier idol and was ready to show off by crossing the finish line in first place.
But then a whirlwind rushed past her—first place was gone!
With a dazed expression and equally dazed steps, she followed closely behind and crossed the finish line as well. Because she had been running fast with great momentum, she hadn’t expected Jian Qinzhi to suddenly stop and turn back.
She collided right into his arms.
A light laugh escaped him as he lifted her by the waist, her feet leaving the ground. "Be careful."
"My gosh, I’m dying from this ship! Everyone keep shipping Jun Yue to death!"
"Hahaha, did you see that? The moon’s ears are all red! Hahaha, I’m losing it!"
"Jian Qinzhi is definitely doing this on purpose; he came here just for Yun Zhi Yue. This man has ulterior motives."
"Those upstairs need to chill; what do you know? Bad boys are what women love; kids should go play elsewhere."
After breaking free from Jian Qinzhi's embrace, Yun Zhi Yue looked down and said an apologetic "sorry" before returning to the group, acting as if they weren’t familiar with each other.
Jian Qinzhi didn’t linger on it either but when asked who he wanted to team up with, he unhesitatingly called out Yun Zhi Yue’s name.
No one present besides Yun Zhi Yue seemed surprised by Jian Qinzhi’s action; it clearly indicated his feelings for her.
After a day of filming, in order to avoid suspicion, Yun Zhi Yue kept her distance from Jian Qinzhi on the way back to the hotel.
After finishing her evening routine, she picked up her phone and a mischievous smile crept onto her lips.
She sent a message: "Jian Shu, why did you choose me? This is going to be awkward for the upcoming shoots."
"You're not as clever as you think," she added, teasingly.
A simple reply made Yun Zhi Yue raise an eyebrow; Jian Qinzhi seemed to want her to address the matter directly.
Heh, she wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. As expected, Nie Yi would definitely be restless about this; she was curious to see who would crack first.
The next day, before the live broadcast even started, the internet exploded with excitement.
【Wow, which deity is behind this show? Look at the caliber of people involved!】
【Damn, I’m so excited I took a day off just to see these gods clash!】
【We have General Lu Chuan, Yun Zhi Yue’s sister Yun Xiaoxiao, that rich guy Ji Yan who has no sense of financial limits, and the CEO Nie Yi—wow, what a battlefield!】
【Have you all noticed? There are three men and one woman in the lineup; if they pair up, there will definitely be a male-male team!】
【Haha! Who will it be? My scalp is tingling just thinking about it! Come on, director, why aren’t you getting up yet?】
