After the sudden disappearance of Si Li Jian's seal, the court physician Wen Ningmo, who no longer needed to attend court, began to act as a eunuch, standing beside the Empress as a translator. The ministers were so verbose in their reports that she couldn't be bothered to read them.

Yun Zhi Yue sighed in frustration. "This isn't about chopping heads. You'll understand once you're in my position; I'm thinking about men."
Cough! Wen Ningmo nearly choked at that comment. Feng Die remained unfazed and asked, "Has Luo Zhangyin been gone for nearly three months? Hasn't he sent any news?"
Yun Zhi Yue frowned. "That day I was feeling impulsive and recalled how Feng Yu annoyed me before; I said I wished he didn't exist. I regretted it immediately after saying it. Luo Bai left that night; it's too late for me to take back my words now. It's been so long; he won't have been ambushed by Qin Wang in his fief, will he?"
"What? You sent Luo Bai to kill Qin Wang Shizi? Going to his fief is tantamount to seeking death!" Wen Ningmo slammed the table in disbelief.
Yun Zhi Yue didn't mind Wen Ningmo's rudeness and leaned against the table with a hand on his forehead. "I already said it was an impulsive remark. The situation is what it is; I can't turn back time and retract my words."
"Luo Bai is skilled; he shouldn't run into trouble so easily," he added.
Just then, Cui Ling rushed in, pale-faced. "Your Majesty! It's bad news! This letter is from Ning Xin. She says that the Master of the Seal and Qin Wang Shizi have perished together; their bodies have yet to be found in the river."

Yun Zhi Yue stumbled as he took two steps forward but quickly disregarded his stumble. He snatched the letter from Cui Ling's hand and opened it. After reading it without shedding a tear, he stood up and ordered, "Prepare horses! We’re going to Qingzhou! If they are alive, we must see them; if they are dead, we must see their bodies!"
Wen Ningmo's expression turned grave as he immediately intervened. "You are the Emperor; how can you leave the capital so easily? Luo Bai may not..."
Before he could finish his sentence, he was silenced by Yun Zhi Yue’s reddened eyes filled with determination.
"Dog shit, Emperor!" Yun Zhi Yue shouted as she swept aside the bright yellow tablecloth on their card-playing table. Beneath it, she pulled out a tattered cloth wrapped around the imperial edict and seal.
The Succession Edict and the jade seal were all here. I’m tired of this emperor business; from now on, consider me dead. No one should stop me. Feng Li, please take care of Cui Ling in the future.
Feng Li nodded repeatedly.
Seeing this, Cui Ling was moved to tears and quickly said, "Your Highness, take me with you. Cui Ling wants to follow you."
Yun Zhi Yue did not pause her steps. "If you’re not afraid of hardship, then come along."
Cui Ling smiled through her tears and hurried to keep up with Yun Zhi Yue.
