The blood-soaked, eerie tombstone cracked open, revealing a staircase that seemed to descend into darkness.
“Just follow the instructions as you go down; when the time comes, you will be sent back,” Yun Zhi Yue explained.
Ye Zhi comfortingly patted Ye Yao’s head and stepped inside.

Yun Zhi Yue's expression changed slightly as she quickly pulled Ye Yao back just as Ye Zhi pinned her against the wall with sheer physical speed.
His fangs emerged as his tongue flicked out to taste the blood vessels in her neck. Before he could bite down, lightning and ice surged toward him.
Ye Zhi turned around and surprisingly blocked both of their abilities with his bare hands. His blood-red eyes returned to their original black after the waves of power subsided.
He looked at Yun Zhi Yue and said apologetically, “I couldn’t control myself.”
Yun Zhi Yue intervened before he could make another move and handed him a blood pack. “It’s alright; drink this. It’s normal to feel uncomfortable at first. Humans are quite rare these days, so for now, you shouldn’t hunt.”
Blood Clan members drink blood available in stores. I’ll be staying for quite some time, so keep your distance from your sister for now.
I know this sounds harsh, but you’re not really her brother anymore. Being overly attached to your memories may only amplify your bloodlust. You know best who you wanted to drink from just now.
Ye Zhi lowered his brows and carried the Blood Bag as he walked downstairs.
Ye Yao hurriedly chased after him. "Brother!"
"Don't follow me! Yao Yao, I really can't control myself."
