Every day, people continuously teleported from here to various places across the country and even to other nations. Lin Han stood in the bustling square, suddenly feeling as if he were rushing to catch a train in a past life. This place resembled a train station, with clear directional signs. Lin Han quickly found the way to the Ancient Demon Prison Teleportation Array.
Weide City’s Ancient Demon Prison was a highly popular secret realm, frequently visited by squads for training, leveling up, or gathering materials. After completing his procedures, Lin Han found himself waiting in line for over half an hour.
The Teleportation Array activated! The array emitted a bright glow, gradually enveloping the people standing within it. A few seconds later, the teleportation was complete.
When Lin Han regained his bearings and looked around, he found himself in front of a dilapidated ancient structure. Ruined walls and overgrown weeds surrounded him. Some skeletal remains, long buried and covered in moss, revealed only half a skull on the ground. However, the large fallen pillars scattered about indicated that this place once housed a magnificent and grand palace.
Having experienced such ruins made him acutely aware of how ancient human history truly was. Even powerful figures like the Martial Emperor could not escape the ravages of time. What had this place witnessed throughout its existence?
Lost in such thoughts, Lin Han's mind began to drift. But this was not a place to be distracted!
Suddenly, he felt a lazy female voice behind him, and it seemed to be getting closer. Lin Han immediately shivered, spun around, and leaped back several meters to create distance.
When he landed and looked up, he finally saw the face of the person behind him. She was extraordinarily beautiful, dressed in tight leather attire that accentuated her figure. Her makeup was heavy, making it difficult for Lin Han to gauge her true age; however, he estimated she couldn’t be over thirty.
Sensing a faint aura of beastly power emanating from her, Lin Han felt a surge of caution rise within him. "Who are you?" he asked.
Generally, places with teleportation points are not overly dangerous. Those who come here are usually hunters or students from the academy. Robbery and ambushes are more likely to occur in remote areas with fewer people. This is the entrance to the Ancient Demon Prison; if a conflict were to break out here, it would quickly attract the stationed troops.
Thus, while Lin Han remained vigilant, he did not leave immediately.
"Lin Han, I've heard of you. You have quite a talent!" a man said with a broad smile, his tone still laced with laziness and disdain.
Lin Han was taken aback. He was certain he had never seen this person before, yet he had called out his name directly. The only possibility that came to mind was that this person must be from the Military Academy.
However, the man ignored Lin Han's question and continued speaking to himself, "We will meet again, but I advise you to stay alert wherever you go; danger can strike unexpectedly!" With that, he turned and walked away.
Watching the man's retreating figure, Lin Han felt utterly perplexed. Nevertheless, he began to piece together the man's identity. Recently, the only events that could have made him known were related to the ruins. If he could call out Lin Han's name, it likely meant he had some connection to the academy.
Without further thought, Lin Han made his way to the entrance of the Ancient Demon Prison. There stood a massive stone door, its surface as calm as a still lake, clearly reflecting Lin Han's silhouette. However, if someone were to step through it, ripples would spread across its surface as if they had plunged into water.
Without hesitation, Lin Han took a step forward and entered through the door.
