The echoing roar reverberated through the tunnel, as if the rock walls were about to collapse. The Blazing Fire Qilin's four limbs were almost leaving afterimages, yet the rolling stones showed no signs of giving up their pursuit.

Lin Han's eyes widened as he realized a problem he had overlooked. Both the Blazing Fire Qilin and the Dragon Sparrow were fire-type creatures, naturally exuding high temperatures, especially in this cave that was perpetually cold.
"Han Fei, put away your Dragon Sparrow. Blazing Fire Qilin, control your flames and suppress their output," Lin Han commanded. Han Fei didn’t understand what Lin Han was planning but instinctively recalled his Dragon Sparrow, causing the surrounding light to dim slightly.
The Blazing Fire Qilin's mane, which had been blazing like fire, gradually returned to its original dark golden color. At the fork in the tunnel ahead, Lin Han directed the Blazing Fire Qilin to suddenly veer to one side and quickly turned back to look behind them.
Sure enough, a large portion of the rolling stones had shifted their direction toward another path, with only a few still closely pursuing them.
It worked! Lin Han's expression brightened.
Han Fei also sensed something was off. "How did you know they were sensitive to temperature?"
"Just a guess," Lin Han deflected. If it weren't for the absence of Creation Eye, he wouldn't have been able to notice this issue.
Han Fei remained skeptical; their situation was still dire. Although most of their group had been separated, there were still at least a dozen Mineral Rock Lizards hot on their heels.
Moreover, it was evident that the speed of the Blazing Fire Qilin had noticeably decreased after it caught fire. Lin Han furrowed his brow; it was imperative to deal with the remaining Mineral Rock Lizards pursuing them here. Indeed, the flames would only attract more Mineral Rock Lizards, and with their numbers stacking up, they would undoubtedly be at a disadvantage.
Just then, the view ahead suddenly opened up, followed by the roaring sound of rushing water echoing from the direction of the tunnel wall. Lin Han's eyes lit up as he turned to Han Fei and spoke in a low voice, "On the count of three, we jump."
Lin Han's words momentarily stunned Han Fei, leaving her waiting for him to continue. "One, two, three!"
Before she could react, Lin Han grabbed her arm with a powerful grip and suddenly pulled her downwards into the rushing underground river below.
"Lin Han, I—!" Han Fei barely had time to express her anger before she found herself plunging into the turbulent waters.
Gurgling sounds filled her ears as water rushed into her mouth, cutting off whatever she had intended to say. As Lin Han and Han Fei leaped into the underground river, the Blazing Fire Qilin transformed into a stream of light and was recalled by Lin Han at that very moment.
Lin Han summoned the Dark Black Tortoise just as water flooded into his mouth. Almost simultaneously, bubbles enveloped them both. The raging waters had no effect on them; within the bubbles, they could even breathe freely. Lin Han exhaled a sigh of relief.
