"Hey, wake up! Everyone's gone!" A teasing voice echoed in Xue Wushuang's ears.
Startled, Xue Wushuang shook off the drowsiness and blinked awake. "Hmm, class is over? Ah!" She yawned widely.
Zhou Qingqing frowned at her. "Class ended a while ago. What’s going on with you? Didn’t sleep last night?"
Xue Wushuang scratched her head, feeling a bit embarrassed. "It’s my old problem—classroom sleep syndrome. I just can’t help but feel sleepy whenever someone starts lecturing."
"Good thing there’s no theory exam this time, or you’d be in trouble," Zhou Qingqing replied with a smirk.
Chen Huan'er chimed in with a laugh, "What are you worried about? Look at that guy behind me; his snoring is louder than mine!"
Xue Wushuang chuckled and gestured for everyone to look over.
Lin Han and the others turned to see Qian Yixuan, his wild yellow hair flopped down as he lay sprawled across his desk, sleeping soundly.
Luo Shou was an interesting person; upon noticing someone sleeping in class, he didn’t get angry but instead stood a bit further away and continued lecturing from the podium.
Qian Yixuan slowly lifted his head, realizing everyone was staring at him. He jolted awake.
"Qian, class is over," Lin Han said, trying to ease the awkwardness.
"Yeah, I know. Thanks for the reminder," Qian Yixuan replied, feigning calm as he wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth and sat up straight.
"Let me introduce myself. I’m Lin Han, the captain of the Dragon Tooth Squad."
As Lin Han Si pondered, the thought struck him that if this person could join their Thirteenth Class, it meant there was a possibility of competing together in the future. If the team remained discordant, not only would cooperation be difficult, but even getting along would be a challenge.
Qian Yixuan, a genius in support-type Beasts, was not one to back down easily. He casually brushed his hair aside and introduced himself.
"Still calling yourself a genius? Have you looked in the mirror lately? You’ve got marks all over your face," Xue Wushuang whispered from the side.
Though he tried to keep his voice low, everyone present heard him, and Chen Huan'er and Zhou Qingqing couldn't help but stifle their laughter.
Qian Yixuan discreetly wiped his face, and the momentary look of panic in his eyes vanished as quickly as it appeared. The marks on his face disappeared in an instant, revealing a flawless and handsome visage.
What he had just said was something he had understood long ago. Unlike the rest of them, he was a true genius. The Heavenly Beast Mastery was merely an embellishment; his greatest strength lay elsewhere.
"Hey, where are you all going? Wait for me!" he called out as the others turned to leave with dark expressions. Han Fei was the last to walk away, glancing back at Qian Yixuan with a nonchalant tone.
"Fool."
Qian Yixuan's expression darkened immediately. Just as he was about to explode with anger, he noticed that everyone had already walked far away, leaving him alone in the classroom.
At that moment, his phone buzzed in his pocket. Qian Yixuan raised an eyebrow as he looked at the message on the screen before pressing the answer button.
"You wanted me to meet someone? I’ve seen them already; they’re indeed a promising candidate. But I have to ask—why are your people here too?" A cold female voice came through the line.
