In the Dark Forest, Chen Huan'er suddenly looked up at the sky with a hint of worry.
"What’s wrong? Did you notice something?" Lin Han immediately asked, as her innate abilities allowed her to connect with the Beast even more strongly than others.
"It seems someone is being hunted in the forest!"
Hearing this, Lin Han's eyes brightened. She quickly commanded Mie Tian Qi Lin to rush toward that direction.
Meanwhile, deep within the Dark Forest, a Centaur was engaged in battle against a large group of monsters, overwhelmed by their sheer numbers.
Boom!
A woman clad in a Black Magic Robe was wielding a large sword and shield. She first blocked an attack from one of the monsters with her shield and then swung her sword in retaliation.
Bang! Bang!
Suddenly, a loud gunshot echoed from a distance, followed by a fierce Blood Flame that engulfed the area in an instant.
"Zhou Qingqing!" Chen Huan'er hurried over, her face filled with surprise. "You finally made it?"
Seeing Lin Han and her companion arrive, Zhou Qingqing finally breathed a sigh of relief.
[You have completed the first stage of the hunt; Shotgun attack power has been enhanced.]
[You successfully killed a beast; Experience Gained.]
Lin Han stood on the other side, enduring the pain in her legs as she fired her weapon.
With the appearance of the Shotgun, the monsters seemed to panic as if they had encountered something truly terrifying, scattering in all directions.
In just a moment, they vanished from sight.
"What kind of monsters are these?" Zhou Qingqing quickly recalled the Centaur back into Beast Space and moved closer to Lin Han.
"They're just ordinary monsters in this Dungeon," Lin Han explained briefly without delving too deeply into what these creatures were, instead focusing on Zhou Qingqing. "Your outfit—are you a witch?"
"Yes, I’m playing the role of a witch in this Dungeon. I was invited by the Town Residents to help them dispel their misfortunes."
"The Town Residents invite witches?" Lin Han asked, intrigued.
"Well, at least we're finally close to gathering our team."
"Brother Lin, what should we do next?" Chen Huan'er asked, completely at a loss.
The wooden cabin loomed ahead. According to the story, the so-called grandmother should have been eaten by the Evil Wolf, so we need to be cautious.
Lin Han outlined a rough direction, and the three of them ventured deeper into the forest once more.
After a long while, a very simple wooden cabin appeared before them.
Around the cabin, there were many torches, still flickering with faint embers. A lantern hung by the door, casting a dim light that illuminated the entrance.
"Let's go in quickly," Zhou Qingqing said as she prepared to enter the cabin, but was abruptly pulled back by Lin Han.
"Look around the cabin; there are many scratch marks," Lin Han said in a low voice. At his signal, Qilin conjured a small flame to ignite the torches one by one.
Through the flickering light, they could see that the area surrounding the cabin was marked with signs of destruction from sharp teeth and claws.
The deep gouges in the wood indicated that they were made by extremely ferocious beasts.
"Could it be the Gray Wolf?" Chen Huan'er wondered aloud.
"Let's just be careful," Lin Han replied solemnly as he took the lead and stepped into the cabin.
Inside, the light was dim. A large table occupied nearly half of the space, covered with rows of jars.
