Some people stood in front of their doors, clearly having been searching for their keys just a moment ago. They turned and stared blankly at the door, unsure of what to do next.
Lin Han had experienced all of this along the way without a hint of hesitation. He knew he had to find some unusual colors to unlock certain key points.
Time seemed to stretch indefinitely as he tried not to think about it, making an effort to avoid any actions from Dorothy and the witch behind him that might disrupt his perception of time.
Unbeknownst to them, the three had wandered into a rice field. Suddenly, Lin Han's eyes lit up; his vision was remarkably sharp, and he spotted a bright color moving within the field.
It was a scarecrow, stuck in the ground, its ribbons fluttering in the wind. Without any hesitation, Lin Han quickly approached it and noticed that aside from the straw, there were colorless bones arranged neatly on its body, resembling ribs as if it were a person who had been skinned alive!
What on earth is this? Dorothy arrived at the scarecrow's side and also saw the vibrant colors on it—not just the ribbons but also the viscera dripping with liquid!
Before the witch could speak, Lin Han stopped her. Sharing their understanding with others could lead to its disappearance!
This was a conclusion Lin Han reached after careful thought. While it might not be entirely accurate, there seemed to be no other explanation for the phenomenon they were encountering. He speculated that this was perhaps a form of curse—a dark magic that transformed a living person into a scarecrow, and what they were seeing was merely a part of that curse!
At that moment, the scarecrow suddenly moved. Its straw head turned to face the three of them. Two black dots squeezed out from within the straw, slowly expanding into two eyes that had popped out of their sockets.
Next, two pieces of white bone emerged from within the straw, forming a jawbone that coldly asked, "Am I clever?"
Huh? The three were puzzled, unable to comprehend why such a question would arise.
But in the next instant, the scarecrow erupted into chaos. Its arms, made of bone and straw, transformed into two steel blades aimed at the three of them while it continued to ask: "Am I clever? Am I clever?"
As the steel blades were about to strike down upon them, Lin Han sprang into action, gripping his Silver Rapier tightly to block the attack.
Behind him, Mie Tian Qi Lin let out a roar, his entire body enveloped in bright Meng Yan flames. A fierce fire immediately engulfed the scarecrow entirely.
However, at that moment, the rampaging scarecrow seemed completely immune to the flames; its straw appeared to come alive as it attacked Lin Han's direction.
Bang! Seeing his attack ineffective, Mie Tian Qi Lin swiftly changed his combat strategy and charged towards the scarecrow with his massive frame.
But it seemed as if the scarecrow felt nothing; instead, it gathered a large pile of straw and swung it like a heavy hammer, sending Mie Tian Qi Lin flying!
Boom!
The giant scythe made of straw swung down towards Lin Han. At this moment, he could only tightly grip his longsword to defend himself. Unable to communicate, Lin Han dared not command his Beast, fearing that Mie Tian Qi Lin might lose control due to the disappearance of its cognition and fall into a rampaging state.
