Qin Feng couldn't help but feel puzzled. What kind of reasoning was this? Wasn't the Dragon Lord looking for talented individuals?
"Haha, the Dragon Lord did say that having talent without fortune and a narrow vision is useless even in the Dragon Palace," Jin Yi Gong Zi laughed heartily.
Qin Feng's eyes flickered with interest. "So, are you selling or not?" Jin Yi Gong Zi asked impatiently.
Qin Feng shook his head. "Since you've put it that way, if we sell, wouldn't that mean we have a narrow vision? Why would we sell then?"
Jin Yi Gong Zi was momentarily taken aback, then slapped his forehead. "Oh no, I shouldn't have said that."
"Fool! Now that you've said everything, do you think they will still sell to you?"
At that moment, another person stepped forward, also dressed in Jin Yi attire, though he appeared much more delicate in appearance. He walked up to Qin Feng and the others and said dismissively, "Don't mind this fool; just sell to me." With that, he tossed a bag onto the table.
With a clatter, the bag hit the table and spilled out several gold coins, while the bag itself remained bulging, clearly still containing more.
"Is this enough?" The man looked on with arrogance.
"Feng Lin, don’t you know the rule? First come, first served," the foolish Young Master fumed.
"Hehe, Han Qing, isn't it the highest bidder who wins? What does first come first served matter? If you want it, then offer some silver," Feng Lin sneered.
Han Qing's expression changed. Although he was the son of Dongting Mansion's Fu Zun, he truly didn't have as much money as this guy.
Nie Rong suddenly furrowed his brow. "Han Qing, who is Han Fu Zun to you?"
Han Qing was taken aback. "Ah, do you know my father?"
Nie Rong paused for a moment. "You are Han's son."
"Han?" Han Qing looked at Nie Rong in shock. "Do you know my dad?"
Nie Rong smiled. "Of course! Your father and I are of the same generation."
Han Qing was stunned for a moment before realizing something. "Wait, are you Nie Bo Bo?"
Nie Rong nodded with a smile while touching Hu Xu.
Feng Lin suddenly felt something was off. "How long are you two going to chat? Can I have the invitation now?"
Qin Feng pointed at the gold coins on the table and said, "We’re not selling."
Feng Lin's expression darkened. "Are you sure you won't sell?"
Qin Feng chuckled. "What, are you still daring to snatch it?"
A fierce glint flashed in Feng Lin's eyes as he reached for the gold treasure. "Just wait and see." With that, he turned and left.
Nie Rong couldn't help but furrow his brow, looking discontentedly at Feng Lin's retreating figure. "Who does he think he is, acting so arrogantly?"
Han Qing's face grew serious. "Nie Bo Bo, he's the son of the Eldest Princess. I don't know why he's here at Dongting Mansion for the Provincial Examination, but he has made the list."
"What?" Nie Rong was taken aback. "He's the son of the Eldest Princess? That makes sense; his surname is Feng." He glanced at Qin Feng, noticing his calm demeanor, and felt a bit relieved. "Xian Zhi, don't provoke him."
Qin Feng smiled lightly. "As long as he doesn't come after me, I have no intention of making a move."
Nie Rong sighed and shook his head. Given that guy's arrogant attitude just now, would he really not cause trouble? He couldn't help but feel anxious; no one expected to encounter the son of the Eldest Princess here.
Han Qing looked confused and shook his head. "Nie Bo Bo, since you're here at Dongting Mansion, why not go see my father? If my father knew you were here, he would be very pleased."
Nie Rong smiled and replied, "Not today; I have to see your father another time."
"Do you have anything else planned for today?" Ning Caichen waved the invitation in his hand. "Of course, we're going to the Dragon Palace to take a look."
Han Qing asked curiously, "But that's just the two of you going. Nie Shu and the others can't go."
