Qin Feng raised an eyebrow, "Who gave you the courage to attempt a prison break?"
Fu Qingfeng quickly replied, "No, we never intended to break into the prison directly. That would be suicidal!"
Qin Feng looked at Fu Qingfeng in surprise, "Then what do you plan to do?"
Fu Qingfeng's expression darkened as he calculated the time. "My father and the others should disappear soon. So we’re waiting outside; someone will definitely come to take my father."
Qin Feng asked curiously, "Disappear? Isn’t it a beheading?"
Fu Qingfeng shot Qin Feng a glare but explained nonetheless, "Many people in the capital have gone missing without explanation, and no one has figured out why. Officials who were once in charge of the prison have mysteriously vanished as well, without any executions."
Qin Feng recalled what Nie Rong had told him about the situation in the capital; indeed, many people had gone missing. He immediately thought of Pu Du Ci Hang—the only Great Demon King in the capital could only be him.
He turned to Nie Xiaoqian and Qin Wan'er. "This time I won’t intervene; it’s a good opportunity for you both to gain some experience."
The two girls exchanged glances, surprised. "You’re not going to stop us?"
Qin Feng smiled. "Why should I? Your strength has improved significantly. The dangers you’ll face with me later on might be even greater, so facing some challenges now is beneficial."
Fu Yuechi's expression changed as she looked at Qin Feng disapprovingly. "Aren't you worried about their safety? You really are their brother; you should take them back."
Qin Feng glanced at Fu Yuechi and replied indifferently, "Are you telling me how to do things?"
Fu Yuechi was taken aback. "I’m doing this for their sake! Why can’t you understand that?"
Fu Qingfeng stepped forward and said, "Qin Zi, this matter is indeed very risky. I don’t want to involve innocent people. We’ve already advised them; since you’ve come here, it’s better to take them back."
Qin Feng looked at Nie Xiaoqian and the two girls. "What do you think?"
Nie Xiaoqian and Qin Wan'er exchanged excited glances. "Qin Ge, we’re not going back! We want to stay and help." After saying that, they turned to Fu Qingfeng. "Fu Sister, let us help! The more hands we have, the stronger we’ll be!"
Fu Qingfeng hesitated.
"Well, Fu Sister, my brother has already agreed," Qin Wan'er said, stepping forward to cling to Fu Qingfeng playfully.
"Alright then, you must listen to me when the time comes. Otherwise, you can just go back," Fu Qingfeng said seriously.
Nie Xiaoqian nodded repeatedly.
Qin Feng glanced at the two of them, feeling that they seemed to be led astray a bit.
He and Old Fox left. Since the two women had their own ideas, he wouldn’t stop them. He had no intention of tying them to his side.
Of course, he wouldn’t neglect them either; with Black Python back, it was more than enough to protect the two.
This was also Qin Feng's intention for them.
As they walked down the street, Qin Feng squinted at the person blocking his path.
In front of him stood a eunuch. "Qin Zi, right? Our prince requests your presence," the eunuch said.
Qin Feng raised an eyebrow. "Which prince?"
"The Second Prince," the eunuch whispered.
At this moment, he still dares to see me? Doesn’t he fear being found out by the emperor? Qin Feng smiled playfully.
The eunuch's expression changed as he looked at Qin Feng in surprise. "If you don’t say anything, who would know?"
Qin Feng chuckled. "Alright, lead the way."
The eunuch was delighted and quickly turned to head towards a teahouse.
Qin Feng leisurely followed behind. He was bored anyway and wanted to see what the Second Prince was up to.
He didn’t mind killing another prince; after all, Dragon Qi backlash was of no use to him.
