The Second Prince's face was grim, and he dared not delay any longer as he stepped into the cave.
The further they walked, the more astonished both the Second Prince and the Eunuch became. The maidens they passed were all at the Golden Core Realm, and they even saw two Divine Realm demons hurriedly leaving. This clearly indicated that the power of this great king was beyond that of mere gods.
“Your Highness, be cautious,” the Eunuch whispered. “Otherwise—”
The Second Prince's heart tightened, and he nodded repeatedly. “I understand.”
At last, under the guidance of the maidens, they arrived at a grand hall that was empty except for a throne at the far end where a figure sat.
As soon as they entered, both felt a noticeable rise in temperature; sweat began to bead on the Second Prince's forehead. The person seated wore a Crimson Cloak and appeared to be a handsome young man, particularly striking with a Crimson Mysterious Rune on his forehead, exuding an otherworldly and mysterious aura.
In that moment, the Second Prince felt like a country bumpkin; even his status as a prince made him feel somewhat ashamed.
The young man regarded them with an indifferent expression, scanning them up and down. When his gaze landed on the Second Prince, a flicker of intrigue flashed in his eyes.
“You possess Dragon Qi,” he said coolly. “Now tell me, what is your identity?”
The Second Prince was taken aback. Dragon Qi? He could see it? Without hesitation, he quickly replied, “I am the second son of the Da Li Emperor, Huang Jing, here to meet Your Majesty.”
The young man's brow arched slightly. “No wonder; you are the Second Prince of Da Li. Now tell me, what brings you to the Ten Thousand Great Mountains?”
Seeing that they had gotten to the main topic, the Second Prince hurriedly said, “I have come to inform you of some news.”
“Oh?” The young man looked at him with curiosity. “What news?”
“The divine beast Bai Hu of the Ten Thousand Great Mountains has been killed,” the Second Prince blurted out.
“What?” The young man suddenly stood up, disbelief etched on his face. “You say what? Bai Hu is dead?”
Flames erupted around him unexpectedly, causing the temperature in the hall to soar exponentially.
The Second Prince's face turned pale as his hair seemed to dry up from the heat.
The Eunuch was startled, and with a flash of light from his hand, a transparent shield enveloped the Second Prince. Only then did the Second Prince breathe a sigh of relief, as he had almost thought he was going to die just moments ago.
Seeing this, the young man retracted his flames and coldly called for someone to come.
In a flash, the Eagle Demon darted in like lightning, kneeling on one knee and respectfully addressing him as "Your Majesty."
"Go check on White Tiger Ridge. Is the White Tiger there?" the young man said coldly.
"Yes, Your Majesty." The Eagle Demon turned and vanished.
The young man slowly sat down, his face darkening as he said, "You better not be lying to me, or else..."
"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare, Your Majesty! We have come all this way; how could we possibly deceive you?" the Second Prince spoke in a panic.
"Then tell me, how did he die?" The young man nodded slightly and asked indifferently.
The Second Prince's spirit lifted. "Your Majesty, it was Qin Feng—no, it was the Black Mountain Old Demon—uh, no, it was a Jiao Long that did it!"
The young man's brows furrowed, and his expression turned icy. "Are you joking with me? Who exactly is it?"
"Let me explain," the Eunuch said helplessly as he stepped forward.
He could see that the Second Prince was frightened and confused; if he continued like this, he would surely end up dead.
The young man looked at the Eunuch, not taking his Divine Realm strength seriously at all. "Fine, you explain."
