Just as they were about to retreat, alarms suddenly blared outside. Chen Rui immediately realized that their actions had been exposed, and the enemy was swiftly surrounding the factory.
It seemed they were in for a tough fight. With a grim expression, Chen Rui quickly assigned his team members to defensive positions, preparing for a breakout. Armed personnel from the Shadow Alliance surged into the factory area, and intense gunfire erupted between both sides. The sounds of gunshots and explosions echoed throughout the factory, smoke and flames filling every corner. Although they were outnumbered, Chen Rui and his team were well-trained, using the factory's cover to engage with the enemy while gradually pushing toward the exit.
At the moment they burst through the factory doors, Chen Rui heard the distant roar of a Rising Machine. Looking up, he saw an armed Rising Machine rapidly approaching, equipped even with a small rocket launcher.
"Everyone be careful!" Chen Rui shouted, leading his team to quickly disperse to avoid becoming targets for the Rising Machine. The rockets fired by the Rising Machine caused massive explosions on the ground, sending flames and debris flying in all directions. Just when it seemed like they were on the brink of disaster, Aileen took cover behind some debris and pulled out a portable missile launcher from her gear, swiftly locking onto the position of the Rising Machine.
"Get ready for a surprise!" Aileen chuckled lightly as she pressed the launch button.
The missile shot into the sky, accurately striking the tail of the Rising Machine. With a deafening explosion, the Rising Machine erupted in mid-air, transforming into a fireball that plummeted to the ground nearby.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Chen Rui led his team in a rapid retreat, successfully evading the pursuit of the Shadow Alliance. Although this operation had been perilous, they had destroyed the Bioweapon laboratory and thwarted part of the Dark Tide Plan.
Upon returning to the Special Zone, Chen Rui immediately convened an emergency meeting where senior officials reported on the operation's status. During this time, Aileen's extracted experimental data provided further clues that deepened their understanding of other aspects of the Dark Tide Plan.
However, just as the meeting concluded, unexpected news arrived: Black Hawk had reemerged and issued a public statement. In his declaration, Black Hawk claimed that the implementation date of the Dark Tide Plan was approaching and that anyone who tried to stop him would pay a heavy price. His proclamation was filled with provocation and even specifically named Chen Rui as if issuing a final warning from the alliance.
"This guy is getting more arrogant by the day," Zhao Yunshan exclaimed angrily.
"Calm down," Chen Rui signaled for everyone to maintain their composure. A glint of cold determination flashed in his eyes. "Black Hawk is showing off but also pointing us in a direction. He wants us to know he’s still alive and will continue with his insane plans."
Aileen analyzed Black Hawk's video release and discovered it contained a hidden location coordinate. The coordinate pointed to an island off the southern coast, believed to be another stronghold of the Shadow Alliance.
The alliance immediately decided to launch their next operation to completely eradicate Shadow Alliance facilities on that island. They understood that every move made by Black Hawk concealed unfathomable schemes, and this time might be their last chance to confront him.
Chen Rui led his team as they prepared for this final showdown.
