During dinner, Lu Jing kept serving Sang Yu more food. Looking at her bowl piled high, Sang Yu helplessly said, "You don't need to keep serving me; you should eat too. Do you want to raise me like a pig?" 0

Lu Jing noticed her discomfort. "Where do you want to go? How about catching a movie?" he suggested, as the cinema was just upstairs, making it very convenient. 0

"Maybe another day. I miss home, and I'm a bit tired today," she replied. There had been activities at school, and she hadn't had much time to rest. Right now, all she wanted was to lie down at home. 0

Although Lu Jing wanted to spend more time with Sang Yu, he could see the fatigue on her face and realized she was indeed tired, so he didn't press the matter further. 0

The mall wasn't far from Sang Yu's place; it would only take about twenty minutes by car. 0

"I'll head out first. You take care and be safe. Bye!" Lu Jing said as he held onto Sang Yu, who was about to get out of the car. 0

"Huh?" Sang Yu looked at him in confusion, not understanding why he stopped her. "Is there something else?" 0

"Don't you want to invite me up for a bit?" Lu Jing asked. 0

"Uh, haha, it's getting late," she stammered. "Maybe next time." 0

Lu Jing raised his left wrist to check his watch; it wasn't even eight o'clock yet—it was still quite early. 0

Sang Yu felt her cheeks flush, unsure if it was from nervousness or something else. A flurry of thoughts raced through her mind: a quiet environment, a small space, a man and a woman alone together. 0

Lu Jing found Sang Yu's changing expressions amusing. Leaning closer, he whispered in her ear, "What are you thinking about, Yu Yu?" 0

Sang Yu was startled by his sudden closeness and instinctively pushed him away before bolting out of the car. 0

Lu Jing couldn't help but laugh out loud. Hearing his laughter made Sang Yu run even faster. By the time she reached home, she realized that Lu Jing had been teasing her all along; he never intended to come up. 0

Frustrated, Sang Yu stomped her foot but simultaneously felt a hint of sweetness in her heart—what was that about? 0

Lu Jing felt quite pleased with himself; he discovered that teasing Sang Yu was incredibly entertaining. 0

"Hey! Look who’s back—our little second master!" A stunning woman stood in the living room, exuding maturity and charm. Upon closer inspection, one could see that she bore a resemblance to Lu Jing. 0

"Wow! Is my beautiful mother home? Did you miss your son? I’ve missed you so much, dear Mom!" He knew that this woman held the highest rank in his household and needed to be pampered. 0

"Hmph! You remember you have a mother? I thought you were like Sun Wukong, popping out from a crack in the rock!" Lu Mu's tone clearly showed her grievances toward her son. 0

It hadn’t been easy for her to pull Yun Cheng back home; after just a few days of living together, he moved out again and hardly ever came back. Just thinking about it made Lu Mu angry. 0

"Don't blame him; his career is just starting out," Lu Jing defended. "Sometimes he's so busy he doesn't even have time to sleep. Plus, his place is far from the office; he can't waste all his time on the road." 0

If they lived apart, how could she possibly miss him that much? But if they lived together, she wouldn't be able to stand him for more than three days before she started complaining. She thought this way, but she couldn't say it out loud. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'll make sure to visit you more often from now on, okay?" 0

Lu Mu knew that Lu Jing Si was busy with his startup and had a lot on his plate. She was just a bit upset that he hadn't come to see her in a while. However, after a few sweet words from Lu Jing, her irritation faded away; after all, what mother truly stays angry at her child? 0

"You just know how to talk back. Have you eaten yet? If not, I'll have Sister Mei whip something up for you." Lu Mu was worried that Lu Jing had been so busy that he hadn't had a chance to eat. 0

Seeing Lu Mu smile again reassured Lu Jing that her anger had dissipated. His mother was always the easiest to soothe. 0
