"Sister Sangyu," Bai Anran whispered in Sang Yu's ear, "what I said earlier is true. Even though my brother is married, I still have several cousins who are single. If you're looking to change boyfriends, I can guarantee I'll find you someone better than Lu Jingzhi." She knew she couldn't compete with him directly, so she had to be subtle about it, especially since he always bullied her. Hmph! 0

Lu Jingzhi watched as Bai Anran leaned close to his girlfriend, narrowing his eyes. He decided he needed to keep Sang Yu away from this little girl in the future. 0

Chen Ruoying chuckled as she glanced at Bai Anran. This girl never seemed to learn her lesson; when had she ever won against Lu Jingzhi? 0

"Sang Yu, don’t listen to her nonsense. Come on, let’s sit over here and chat while those guys can play over there," Chen Ruoying said, pulling Sang Yu to a nearby seat. 0

"I’m not talking nonsense," Bai Anran muttered under her breath. 0

Women were strange that way; one moment they were strangers, and the next they were chatting away like old friends. Sang Yu felt a good rapport with both Chen Ruoying and Bai Anran. They took care of her, and through their conversation, she began to understand their personalities better. Bai Anran was lively and straightforward, a simple-minded person; while Chen Ruoying was more composed and mature, like a caring older sister. 0

On the other side, Lu Jingzhi noticed that Sang Yu was adapting well and gradually relaxed, no longer focusing on them. 0

"This girl seems nice! How did you meet?" Qi Yan Che asked. He had seen a few of Lu Jingzhi's previous girlfriends, and honestly, none of them were impressive. 0

Lu Jingzhi glanced at Sang Yu before responding after hitting a ball: "We were high school classmates." 0

Qi Yan Che raised an eyebrow in surprise. "High school classmates?" 0

"Yeah." 0

"But I don’t remember you at all. Were you in the same class? Since you’re classmates, you should have been in the same grade," Qi Yan Che remarked. He had attended the same high school as Lu Jingzhi but was one year ahead. A girl like Sang Yu should have been memorable if she was in the same class as Lu Jingzhi, yet he had no recollection of her. 0

Sang Yu had only been in Lu Jingzhi's class during their senior year, while Qi Yan Che was already in college by then, so he was unaware of what transpired between them. 0

Lu Jingzhi smiled to himself at the thought of Sang Yu's appearance back in high school; she must have hidden her talents well. If she had dressed as beautifully then as she did now, her admirers would have been just as numerous as his. 0

"Are you serious this time?" Qi Yan Che observed that Lu Jingzhi was different from before; his eyes kept darting toward Sang Yu, clearly smitten. 0

Lu Jingzhi nodded. He knew his reputation wasn’t great and that he had a few questionable records in the past, but he had turned over a new leaf long ago. 0

Qi Yan Che patted Lu Jingzhi on the shoulder. "This girl looks good and reliable—different from those others you've dated before. You better treat her right; don’t let her down." 0

Lu Jingzhi raised an eyebrow at Qi Yan Che. "What do you mean? Are you saying my taste used to be bad?" 0

Qi Yan Che shot him a teasing look. "Don’t you know yourself? Those girls practically wore their feelings on their sleeves! Did they like you? Of course! But they liked your identity as Lu Group's heir even more." 0

Lu Jingzhi sheepishly rubbed his nose. When he was younger, he hadn’t thought much about it; when girls confessed to him, he just went along with it since he had nothing better to do. 0

Besides, even though he dated during that time, he never crossed any lines—not even holding hands very often—let alone kissing or anything else. It was merely a way to pass the time. 0

Of course, his mother’s strictness played a big role too; most importantly, back then, he really wasn’t interested in any of them. 0
