In a small compartment within City Hall, a man dressed in a Zhongshan Suit was discussing matters with Pachakbocha and Lama. 0

"Mayor Chen, what are you afraid of?" Pachakbocha asked, a playful smile on his face. "Do you really think that Guan Boss would dare to refuse my invitation?" 0

"It's ultimately a disaster waiting to happen!" The Mayor's expression darkened. "Moreover, Sang Ren Shangshi's whereabouts are still unknown. Without his presence at the ceremony, I fear—" 0

Pachakbocha interrupted, "I know you have a deep connection with Master, but please trust me. This Yao Lun Ceremony will definitely succeed. Do you really think Guan Jintang would expose you? Does he even have that capability? You underestimate your own authority, Mayor." 0

Sighing, the Mayor wiped his glasses, revealing a hint of worry on his brow. His ties with Vajrayana had lasted seventeen years. Back when he was just a village chief, he had met the wandering Sang Ren Grandmaster and subtly expressed his desire for advancement. 0

The Sang Ren Grandmaster was indeed formidable; he had helped the Mayor rise through the ranks and had even saved his son’s life during a near-fatal incident with the Yao Lun Ceremony. Although his son's condition was quite extraordinary, he had survived. 0

Thus, since taking charge of the Government Building, the Mayor had secretly assisted Vajrayana in constructing hidden chambers underground. It served two purposes: first, it provided concealment as the Government Building represented authority; second, in case of emergencies, all administrative personnel in this building would be nothing more than hostages. 0

Guan Jintang must die! 0

The Mayor's expression turned ambiguous. "You’re using his daughter as a sacrifice for A Jie Drum. With his decisive nature, he will surely exhaust all resources to seek revenge. Huang Lao is a clear example of this!" 0

"Huang Lao?" Pachakbocha scoffed. "Are you referring to Great Offering? He has already elevated his cultivation level using the dual cultivation method I taught him. Even if that Zuo Ren were still alive, he wouldn’t be a concern!" 0

In the room at the end of the basement, there was a simple stone bed and a weathered yellow wooden table. Occasionally, soft sounds emanated from the stone bed. 0

He was an old man with a weary gaze, yet his physique was robust like that of a man, exuding an unusual simplicity and solemnity. He was meditating with these beautiful women, their eyes closed as they envisioned the Happiness Buddha, their faces adorned with joyful smiles. 0

However, they were unaware that their rosy cheeks were undergoing a strange transformation; their features began to age, turning waxy and yellow, with even their temples gradually turning gray. 0

On the yellowed wooden table lay a unique and mysterious brass statue of the dual-bodied Buddha. The male figure sat cross-legged, his legs bent at a significant angle, with the left leg tucked inward at a smaller curve. The female figure faced him, sitting with her legs spread across his lap, both draped in animal skins and adorned with necklaces made of human bones. They were posed in a manner suggestive of kissing and copulation. 0

Each figure held different ritual implements. The male was known as Vajra Hand, while the female was called Ming Fei. Beneath the statue lay various demons and monsters, grotesque and terrifying with multiple limbs and fierce visages. 0

This was a common representation of the Happiness Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism, also referred to as the Great Sage of Joyful Heaven. The term "Happiness Buddha" broadly describes the dual-body Buddha statue in Tibetan Vajrayana, which primarily depicts the union of the male form representing law and the female form representing wisdom. It is believed that through this union, one can attain supreme enlightenment, aiding in one's cultivation. 0

This practice is a remnant of primitive religious customs. The Happiness Buddha serves as a symbolic representation; fundamentally, it conveys that desire is inherently empty. The cultivation philosophy surrounding the Happiness Buddha states: form is emptiness, emptiness is form; form does not differ from emptiness, emptiness does not differ from form. By utilizing the joy of emptiness through duality, one can attain an understanding of emptiness itself and achieve mastery over desire. 0

With a sigh, the visualization came to an end. The female devotees' vitality drained away as they opened their eyes wide, revealing eerie smiles on their faces. 0

As she looked closely, they had already left the machine. The old man donned the Jiang Zi Pao, his eyes bright and clear. Just as he was about to leave the Dual Cultivation Chamber, his pupil suddenly contracted. 0

"You’re still alive!" 0
