The young man began to frantically tear at the Straws, wanting to shred these detestable and bizarre Straws to pieces. However, it felt as if these Straws had long since fused with his body; each handful he ripped away felt like he was tearing his own flesh from within. It was a torturous agony, and the blackened Sha Qi-infused Straws that were pulled away would only continue to grow back, and at an increasingly rapid pace.
He could not tear them all away; it was simply impossible.
"Katsuma, help me!"
The young man whimpered, extending his hand—now replaced by Straws—toward Nekomata. Instantly, Nekomata's fur bristled, and its two forked tails stiffened like rods, standing upright.
Was this Huaxia Evil Arts? How terrifying! To be caught off guard like this!
It was unheard of. Did it feel like every part of his body was in excruciating pain, a pain that had become unbearable? No worries, I can teach you how to make it stop. Just tear open your chest cavity, and the pain will cease!
Zuo Ci looked solemnly at the young man, encouraging him.
Is that really possible?
The young man seemed on the brink of collapse from the torment of the Straws and asked numbly.
Yes, think about it. These Straws grew from within you. Can you really pull them out cleanly? Of course not! You need to open your chest cavity and let them grow completely before pulling them out again. That way, it will be a bit more bearable! Zuo Ci smiled.
Don't listen to him!
Nekomata exclaimed in terror: These Chinese people are truly wicked! He Jun, if you do that, you'll definitely die! Just kill him, and the curse should break!
Oh, so you think you can talk back?
Zuo Ci's gaze turned icy: I forgot to deal with you after taking care of him, didn't I? Little kitty, you’re quite the player!
Ye Jing, now!
His hand gestures shifted, and a Blood Red Mirror floated in the sky, its smooth surface reflecting onto Nekomata’s body.
Do you dare to lay a hand on me?
Nekomata laughed in anger: I am one of the Eastern Nine Divine Spirits! You’re just an ant seeking death!
The mirror rippled.
Countless Sha Qi coalesced into a three-headed Six-Armed skeleton, its surface glistening with viscous blood as it slowly stepped out of the mirror.
Six-Armed Asura.
The Nekomata and Yuan Sha Zhi Qi are remarkably abundant, capable of condensing into a terrifying creature like the Asura. The Buddhist scriptures often mention the Asura. It is said that the Asura originates from the Six Realms.
The Six Realms consist of Heaven, Asura, Humans, Beasts, Hungry Ghosts, and Hell. Humans and Heaven represent goodness. The Asura, by nature, is kind-hearted and embodies goodness as well. However, it is often filled with hatred and a stubborn will to fight, which prevents it from being truly virtuous.
Male Asuras frequently stir up trouble, displaying bravery and aggression, often attacking the Heavenly Kings in attempts to usurp their positions. Female Asuras are beautiful and often enchant many, making cultivation difficult for others. Thus, although Asuras do not suffer in life, they have a high chance of falling into the three evil realms after death, leading to their gradual classification as evil beings.
Asuras are known for their martial prowess. Those who possess fortune but lack virtue are regarded as warlike Asuras; they may be considered as spirits or fallen celestial beings. Northern Buddhism categorizes them as good, while Theravada Buddhism classifies them among the evil.
Heavenly beings possess fortune akin to that of humans but lack the virtues of celestial beings. The three good realms consist of Heaven, Asura, and Humans; the three evil realms consist of Beasts, Hungry Ghosts, and Hell. Among these six realms, only Humans and Beasts have physical forms and exist in the same space; the others are formless and cannot be seen. Those with affinity may perceive them.
Each realm has its own levels and points based on their karmic retribution. The Asura is known for its combat skills, a presence that even the Buddhas fear.
According to the "Guan Fo San Mei Jing," when the world was just forming with mountains and seas, playful celestial beings descended to Earth. One celestial being was bathing in the ocean when a flesh egg emerged from the water essence. After eight thousand years, this egg finally birthed a Female Asura, whose height was akin to Mount Sumeru. She possessed a thousand eyes, twenty-four legs, and had nine hundred ninety-nine heads, mouths, and hands—her appearance was truly terrifying; she is known as the Ashura Ancestor.
The Female Asura later gave birth to a male creature named Pi Mo Zhi Duo, who possessed immense power and could freely traverse between Heaven and Earth. Upon seeing numerous beautiful women surrounding celestial beings, he desired to take a wife. The Female Asura sought out the beautiful Kandava for her son’s hand in marriage; Kandava gladly agreed to this union, leading to the flourishing of the Asura clan.
Pi Mo Zhi Duo's charming daughters captivated even Indra of the heavenly realm, who had countless wives and concubines but fell deeply in love with them and took one as his consort.
Unexpectedly, after marrying, Indra became infatuated with new interests, prompting the Asura Woman to reluctantly inform her father, which ignited an unprecedented war. Just as the Asuras surrounded Mount Sumeru, where Indra resided, and the situation grew dire, Indra recalled the Buddha's words: in times of great peril, reciting the Prajnaparamita Mantra could dispel ghostly soldiers.
As he chanted the mantra, four massive wheels suddenly flew into the air, swiftly slicing through the Asura King's limbs. Fortunately, he managed to escape through a lotus hole, but his anger left him unable to seek revenge. However, the conflict between the Celestials and the Asuras did not come to an end.
This was enough to prove the terror of the Asuras.
Zuo Ci pointed with a finger, and the Six-Armed Asura let out a roar that echoed like a war chariot crashing towards Nekomata.
How powerful!
Nekomata watched the eerie skeleton warily. Its two forked tails slithered like serpents towards the Six-Armed Asura, this was Nekomata's life essence, embodying its Shen Tong abilities and incredibly tough.
Crash!
The Six-Armed Asura showed no fear; its six massive skeletal arms curled like hooks, resembling sharp swords that effortlessly pierced through Nekomata's tail before beginning to pull and tear it apart.
Meow!
Nekomata let out a pained cry as azure flames erupted from its body. This was Yuan Ling transformed into flames, possessing the power to scorch souls—Nekomata's trump card. The Six-Armed Asura seemed wary of these azure flames and withdrew its six skeletal arms from Nekomata's tail.
Zuo Ci observed this scene and couldn't help but shake his head slightly.
Ye Jing was akin to a summoning artifact; it could absorb the opponent's Yuan Sha Zhi Qi and then select a matching species from six options to condense into an avatar form. Although these avatars appeared vivid and lifelike, they were merely Ling Ti and had a natural fear of flames that could scorch souls.
However, the combat strength of the Six-Armed Asura would not be limited to this; otherwise, it would not do justice to the name Asura.
Zuo Ci leisurely approached the young man. The youth seemed already driven mad, his gaze dim and lost.
