Oh, Angel!
What a wonderful thing!
Although those White-skinned Monkeys believe that angels are messengers of the gods and the closest beings to the Shen Ren, Zuo Ci does not share this view.
That pure and flawless white light is a manifestation of the faith of all living beings. In other words, this phenomenon is actually a form of Spell condensed from that very faith.

Zuo Ci extended his palm and gently grasped.

The White Man displayed an expression of disbelief. In his faith, angels are emissaries surrounding the Supreme God’s Throne, endowed with boundless divine power. At this moment, this supreme being was captured by that Mysterious Eastern Sorcerer with a single Black Hand.
He must be a servant of Satan! The White Man seemed to realize something, his face filled with fear.

Once inside the Wan Hun Fan, the secrets of this angel were unraveled. It turned out that what were referred to as angels were actually biological weapons created by the church.
In any nation influenced by church powers, whenever a new child is born, they would receive a baptism from a priest. This so-called baptism is a test of the child's spiritual essence using a special potion.
They referred to the secret potion as Holy Water. If Holy Water was applied to a child's forehead and emitted a white light, it indicated that the child was born with innate spiritual abilities, pure and flawless, making them the best material for creating angels.
The priests would tell the faithful congregants that their children were reincarnations of God's offspring, not mere mortals. These children were known as the Holy Sons, destined to serve the Divine Messenger for life. The brainwashed followers willingly offered up their children because God was their faith.
The priests would place the Holy Sons within the Holy Grail, drawing upon the power of belief from all beings to assist them in their cultivation. Once these children began their training, the church's priests would continue to select those with higher talents to nurture as angels. Those with lesser talents would be trained to become Guardian Church Knights.
However, the catch was that these so-called angels and holy knights had to consume Holy Water daily; otherwise, they faced the risk of death. This was a method of drug control. The holy knights were War Puppets, while the angels were Faith Puppets. Each angel would undergo a special process to meld their spirit into a cross.
These blessed crosses would then be sold at exorbitant prices to the wealthy. When summoned with incantations, they would invoke Divine Miracles. This method of summoning Divine Descent actually drained both the user and the angel's lifespan. The lifespans would be automatically stored within the crosses and then nourished by both parties to become Holy Artifacts.
The priests could extract Elixirs of Life from these Holy Artifacts containing stored lifespans. This was the entire purpose of the Angel Industry Chain.
No matter whether they are believers or angels, they are merely a part of the industrial chain. When an angel dies, it is called ascension. When a believer dies, it is called martyrdom. How interesting!
Zuo Ci chuckled; he was quite intrigued by Eternal Life as well. Hmph!
