After much contemplation, Ling Yu decided that it was best not to face Liu Jiang for now. Instead, he would focus on his studies and personal growth, waiting for the right moment to address the awkward situation between them.
He picked up his phone and sent a message to Liu Jiang: "Liu Jiang, I still feel that our relationship is developing too quickly. Ling Yu knew he had to stop overthinking. It was time to reclaim his identity as a man. Ever since the transformation into a female body, Ling Yu had become more sensitive and introspective. In the days that followed, he attended classes regularly and actively participated in sports activities. Even on the court, memories of the time spent with Liu Jiang would flood his mind. The basketball in his hands seemed to carry those memories; with every shot he took, it felt as if he were trying to throw the past into the hoop.
Whenever he heard girls scolding someone as a scumbag or caught sight of the word "scum," it would inevitably remind him of the trivial past between Xing and Li Yu. Certain moments would even make him feel embarrassed again, his heart racing and cheeks flushing. Ling Yu also noticed that since the transformation, his personality and thought patterns had changed significantly. He used to be indifferent to others' opinions but was now gradually becoming more concerned.
During class, he occasionally overheard a few classmates huddled together, whispering among themselves.
"Look, Ling Yu is back! Where has he been these past few days?" one girl asked quietly, her eyes filled with curiosity.
"Who knows? Maybe there was something urgent at home," another classmate replied softly, her tone laced with speculation. "Have you noticed? Ling Yu looks handsome now; his skin has gotten fairer."
"Yeah, it's true!" another girl chimed in, her voice full of surprise.
"It feels like he's changed a lot these past few days—not just in appearance but even his demeanor seems much more composed," another classmate added.
"I think he seems a bit strange; he feels different from before," a boy said with a furrowed brow, uncertainty in his voice.
"Yeah, I feel like he's become a completely different person," another classmate agreed, echoing the sentiment with intrigue.
"Do you think something special happened?" one girl whispered curiously, her eyes glinting with speculation.
"Who knows? Maybe he's been through something we don't know about," another classmate responded softly, her tone hinting at curiosity as well.
