A gentle smile crept onto Ling Xue's lips, revealing a hint of satisfaction. Earning these Energy Points was no easy feat; each mission was filled with uncertainty and challenges. This reward was the best affirmation of her hard work and clever responses during this time.
Ling Xue lived a busy yet orderly life, juggling daily tasks and caring for her children. Every day, she actively engaged in missions, striving to collect energy and eager to upgrade the system as soon as possible.
Liu Yichen and Liu Siyao thrived under her attentive care. One day, Liu Yichen jumped into Ling Xue's arms, his voice sweet as he said, "Mommy, I want to eat by myself today."
Ling Xue gently stroked his head and smiled, "You're amazing, sweetheart."
Liu Siyao also leaned in, tugging at Ling Xue's sleeve and chiming in, "Mommy, I'm being good too." Ling Xue wrapped both children in her embrace, her heart filled with warmth.
Ling Xue shared snippets of life with Ling Na. With a slight frown, she said, "I'm slowly getting used to living in a female body; I don't even want to turn back into Ling Yu anymore."
Ling Na responded with a smile, "That's great! You look beautiful just the way you are now."
Ling Xue sighed, "But the onset of my period is really hard for me to adjust to."
Ling Na comforted her, "You'll get used to it; look at you now—you're already adapting."
Ling Xue nodded, "Yeah, I guess so. I think continuing like this isn't bad."
However, Ling Na suddenly became serious: "No way! You have to turn back into Ling Yu and marry me; that would ease the relationship between your father and Ling Yu."
Ling Xue hesitated, "Do we really have to do that?"
Ling Na insisted firmly: "Yes, it must be done." Ling Xue sighed in resignation: "Alright then, I'll consider it as fulfilling your wish."
As winter break approached, Ling Xue took the children along with Ling Na to meet Lin Na's father. Along the way, she felt a bit anxious. Ling Xue whispered to Ling Na, "I'm so nervous; I wonder how your father will view us."
Ling Na squeezed Ling Xue's hand reassuringly and said, "Don't worry; I'm here with you."
When Ling Xue met Lin Na's father as Ling Yu, she couldn't help but feel tense. They arrived at Ling Na's family home in a small county town—a simple courtyard came into view.
