"Alright! Then I'll give you what you want! Bring him to me!"
With a command from Xiao Huang, four waiters rushed towards me. A smirk crept onto my lips; I had been itching for a fight! Today was different from yesterday—Xiong Li would be here soon, and he would naturally help me settle this.
Smack!
I delivered a hard slap to one of them, sending him crashing to the ground. Instantly, I was engaged in a brawl with the others. My skills were not just for show; in no time, I had knocked down all four waiters!
A smile lingered on my face. They had bullied me for the past couple of days, but now it was my turn to strike back!
This feels good!
"Come on! All of you, get in here!"
Xiao Huang was startled and called for the others to join in. In reality, these waiters were only brave when they outnumbered someone; once it came down to actual fighting, how many of them dared to step up? And among those who did, how many could actually take me on?
Clearly, none.
Even though they had the numbers, their attacks were chaotic and uncoordinated. One by one, they charged at me—at most two at a time—and before long, I had taken down seven or eight of them. At the same time, I seized Xiao Huang!
"Let go of me! Let go! Brother-in-law! Help me!"

I slapped Xiao Huang hard across the face without hesitation! The look on his face was priceless! Inside, I felt an immense sense of satisfaction!
"Go on, keep begging."
I coldly regarded Xiao Huang as I held him up by his collar. He complied and continued pleading, "Brother-in-law! Help me! Please save me!"

I delivered two quick slaps—one after another. "You think if you beg nicely I won't hit you? Wrong!"
"Xiang Dong! What the hell are you doing? Are you tired of living?"
After delivering those slaps, Liu Fei came down from upstairs, his face twisted in anger. He was accompanied by a woman who was calling out Xiao Huang's name with concern.
Damn it!
You care about Xiao Huang while I’m here getting my brother beaten to a pulp?
Smack!

Before Liu Fei could get close, I slapped Xiao Huang twice more. Meanwhile, I thought to myself that Xiong Li seemed to be running late; he should have arrived by now!
"Xiang Dong! Do you want to die?"
Seeing me continue to hit Xiao Huang infuriated Liu Fei. He shouted angrily, and instantly all the waiters rushed over. Liu Fei had much more authority than Xiao Huang; if Xiao Huang asked them to join in, many might hesitate, but when Liu Fei spoke up, none dared to refuse—he was truly formidable.
I let out a cold laugh and held onto Xiao Huang tightly. It was already time; Xiong Li was late. For now, I could only use Xiao Huang as leverage and wait for him.
"Liu Zong, if you want to hit me, I have no objections—but before you do anything, I can easily snap his neck!"
I gripped Xiao Huang's neck tightly and smiled as he struggled. His sister immediately shouted,
"Let go! Let go of my brother! Or I'll make you pay!"
"Sister, don’t bother; it won’t work."
I replied indifferently. Liu Fei gritted his teeth in anger and demanded, "Xiang Dong, what do you want?"
"Nothing much! Liu Fei! I've heard you've been quite impressive lately!"
Suddenly, a deep voice rang out behind me. A smile spread across my face—Xiong Li had arrived!
"Boss, is that you?"
Xiong Li walked in, flanked by several underlings, exuding an undeniable aura of authority. It was clear he was someone formidable. Liu Fei froze for a moment, and I let go of the useless Xiao Huang, allowing him to scamper off to the side.
"Liu Fei, you still remember I'm your boss?"
Xiong Li held two ledgers in his hands. Despite his bald head and unremarkable appearance, his presence overshadowed Liu Fei completely. The confidence Liu Fei had just shown was nowhere to be seen now; he no longer carried that indifferent kingly demeanor he had when he was confronting me.
"Boss, why do you say that? What’s wrong with me?"
Liu Fei looked utterly bewildered as Xiong Li abruptly threw one of the ledgers at his face, reprimanding him sharply.
"What's wrong? Take a look for yourself!"
Liu Fei hurriedly picked up the ledger and glanced at it, his expression turning to one of shock. He then raised his head to look at Xiong Li, fear evident in his eyes, as if a timid girl had encountered a wolf.
"Boss! Boss! This... this isn't real! Someone must be trying to frame me! It's fake!"
Liu Fei panicked, clearly terrified of Xiong Li. Xiong Li chuckled lightly, disregarding Liu Fei's frantic explanations.
"Xiang Dong, didn't you say he hit you before? Here! Now it's your turn to pay him back."
As he spoke, Xiong Li grabbed a baton from one of his subordinates and tossed it to me. The entire room fell silent in shock!
Clearly, no one knew about my connection with Xiong Li! They had no idea that I had actually brought him here and that our meeting wasn't just a coincidence.
"Xiang Dong, you...!"
If there was anyone who looked utterly bewildered right now, it was definitely Liu Fei, who could only point at me in disbelief. His wide eyes reflected his incredulity—how could he have ever imagined I would be connected to Xiong Li?
I had no interest in explaining myself to him!
With a loud thud, I brought the baton down hard on Liu Fei's shoulder! His agonized scream echoed throughout Tianchi!
"Ah!"
I showed no mercy! My wife had told me to return the favor tenfold! I raised the baton again and began to rain blows down on Liu Fei! Everyone stood by silently, watching in a mix of confusion and awe; with Xiong Li present, no one dared intervene!
"Let me go! I was wrong! I was wrong! Boss! I won't do it again!"
Liu Fei's cries were pitiful and desperate, but no one paid him any mind—just like when he had sent Xiao Huang to beat me up. When I asked him why, he ignored me then too. In this world, everyone eventually pays their dues!
I was quite satisfied with how I collected this debt!
Phew, that felt good. Thank you, Boss.
I left Liu Fei with just enough breath to survive; releasing my anger was fine, but killing him would be going too far.
"Good."
Xiong Li nodded with a smile and glanced at the stunned staff of Tianchi.
"From today on, Xiang Dong is in charge here. Did you all hear that?"
Xiong Li asked loudly with a grin on his face. It seemed everyone was still processing what had just happened; silence filled the room.
"I asked if you heard me!"
Xiong Li shouted again!
"We heard you!"
"We heard you!"
No one dared remain silent; they all responded affirmatively. Satisfied with their replies, Xiong Li smiled broadly and turned to me: "Xiang Dong, do your job well. If you encounter any issues, give me a call."
"Thank you, Boss."
I slightly bowed to Xiong Li. For someone of his status, handling matters was that simple—just a word from him, and suddenly I became the general manager. What a thrill!
"Take him away!"
Xiong Li instructed his subordinates to take Liu Fei away, and no one dared to stop them. I had no idea what Xiong Li intended to do with Liu Fei, nor was I interested.
"Dong Ge! Dong Ge! I was wrong! Please forgive me! I truly made a mistake!"
As soon as Xiong Li left, Xiao Huang suddenly knelt before me, crying uncontrollably.
Indeed, the kid was terrified. Liu Fei had nearly beaten me to death; how could he not be scared?
"Now tell me, who else was involved?"
I coldly looked at the kneeling Xiao Huang and asked. He hesitated for just a moment before blurting out four or five names.
"Sorry, Dong Ge! It’s all our fault! Please don’t hold it against us!"
Several people immediately apologized to me, including Xiao Huang's sister. I chuckled softly; I didn’t even glance at her—she didn’t interest me at all.
"Listen up! Those names he just mentioned—get them all sent to the hospital! Anyone who refuses will face the same consequences!"
I said coldly, and they all froze for a moment. Symbolically, they understood—I was now the general manager of Tian Ye Group! A position that came with power! Who would dare disobey me? They instantly began to act.
"Don’t let him escape!"
I pointed at Xiao Huang, who was still kneeling beside me. As soon as I spoke, someone lunged at him and started beating him mercilessly! Cries for mercy filled the air, but I ignored them. In this world, if you mixed with the wrong crowd, you had to pay the price. Anyone who hurt my brother would face my wrath!
I didn’t pay any more attention to their fighting; staying here was pointless. I went upstairs to the general manager's office and sat in the boss's chair behind the mahogany desk. This was my territory now! Not bad at all!
About ten minutes later, a waiter came up to report that they had beaten each other up enough; if they continued, someone might end up seriously injured. I nodded and told him to send them to the hospital. I didn’t pay for medical expenses—I had no money, and no one dared ask me for it.
After they were sent to the hospital, it took a long time to clean up Tianchi and restore it to its original state. I called Wang Meng to inform him that I was now the general manager of Tianchi. I still had no idea how to fulfill this role properly; Wang Meng needed to assist me.
"What? You’re the general manager of Tianchi now? What about Liu Fei?"
Wang Meng sounded stunned upon hearing my news. I smiled; there was no need for me to pretend to be an innocent young man anymore.
"Liu Fei is naturally out of the picture now. Manager Wang, I've just taken office and have many things to sort out. When will your business trip end?"
I asked Wang Meng, wondering what a Hall Manager could possibly be doing on a business trip. Upon hearing my question, Wang Meng quickly replied that he would set off immediately and would arrive soon before hanging up.
After hanging up, I couldn’t help but chuckle at Wang Meng’s astonished tone. What did he think? He must believe that it was due to my connections that Liu Fei lost his position and that I became the general manager. He probably feared whoever was backing me.
Now that I was his superior, I didn’t need him fearing my connections anymore; however, I would let him continue thinking that way. If any issues arose in the future and someone investigated me, it would help confuse them if they thought there was something mysterious going on behind the scenes—being enigmatic had its advantages!
