"Hey! What are you doing? This place is reserved! Get lost!"
As soon as the three of us stepped upstairs, we were shouted at. I had been curious why there were so many people on the first floor while only a few on the second; it turned out they had booked the entire venue. The power of Fudai was indeed impressive.
But unfortunately for them, they had encountered someone even more formidable today.
"You reserved it? Did I say you could?" I paused for a moment before directly asking. When looking for trouble, one doesn’t need a credible excuse—just finding it is enough!
"What did you say?"
The moment my words left my mouth, all seven of them froze in shock, and then someone burst into laughter.
"Haha! Who's this idiot? Who do you think you are? Just because you reserved it, do we need to ask for your permission? Brother! I suggest you turn around and leave. Since you're an idiot, we won't hold it against you."
One young man in a red jacket spoke arrogantly. Then Wan Fei leaned in and quietly told me that this guy was the one who bullied his Winery employee's daughter.
"Ha! You little punk, don’t act tough with me. You have no idea how badly I can make you suffer," I sneered at the young man in the red jacket. Usually, I prefer to avoid confrontation, but I believed that my taunt would ignite the anger of these hot-headed youths and spark a fight.
"What the hell did you just say?!"
Sure enough, these rich kids had a low threshold for anger. As soon as my words hit their ears, they were furious, and a few of them grabbed their cue sticks and charged toward me.
I smiled.
"Tell them what I just said," I said to my two brothers beside me. In such a small scene, I didn’t even need to lift a finger. Liu Sen, a retired scout, might not be as strong as Wan Fei, but he could easily take on three or four of them. There were seven of them in total; I figured I'd just sit back and enjoy the show for a bit longer.
No sooner had I finished speaking than Liu Sen and Wan Fei sprang into action, confronting the seven opponents! Wan Fei was the first to grab hold of the Red Jacket Guy and started pummeling him! Liu Sen, with fists as big as sandbags, knocked one down with a single punch! They fought like tanks, proving my earlier words right through their actions!
In less than two minutes of engagement, the two of them had sent all seven opponents sprawling! The nearby girls watched in shock, their faces showing fear.
"Girls, you can go home now."
I addressed the girl at the pool table. I didn’t know why she was being bullied by them, nor did I care to ask; after all, it takes two to tango. Although it looked unpleasant, perhaps she was willing to endure it.
As soon as I said that, they all hurriedly left in panic. At this point, only the few of us remained upstairs. The seven Fudai had been nearly beaten into submission by Wan Fei and Liu Sen. Some began begging for mercy while others still acted tough.
"Who the hell are you?! How dare you hit me? I'll get someone to kill you!"
"Hey! Stop!"
Hearing the bravado from the Jacket Guy who was being beaten by Wan Fei, I immediately intervened. If they were going to call for help, that was necessary; otherwise, with such a small group of us, how could I deal with Xiong Li?
"What?! Now you're scared? Just wait!"
The Jacket Guy had a bruised face, but his spirit remained unbroken. It was clear he had been beaten up for no reason, and he was furious. However, when he pulled out his phone, he realized it had been smashed during the scuffle.
"Here, use mine. Don't be shy," I said, handing him my phone. The Jacket Guy was taken aback; my calm demeanor was clearly not what he expected. If I were scared, why would I lend him my phone?
"Take it! Can't you hear me when I say don't be shy?" I said coldly. I had seen plenty of bullies like him—always picking on others, but the moment someone stood up to them, they acted as if the world revolved around them.
"You better watch out!" the Jacket Guy said, no longer hesitating. He snatched my phone and started making calls. His friends nearby also began dialing their phones. I watched with a smile; this was exactly how it should be.
Once the Jacket Guy finished his call, I took back my phone and dialed Xiong Li's number.
"Hey, boss, I've run into some trouble. Someone's trying to beat me up."
"What? Someone's trying to beat you up? Didn't you mention Tian Ye Group?"
I told him they didn't believe me. I continued spinning my tale, and after hearing this, Xiong Li simply asked for my location without any further questions. He assured me that someone would arrive within ten minutes.
I hung up with a grin. It was that simple; I was about to get in touch with some underworld figures. If Lu Qiang showed up this time, that would be even better—I could make direct contact and save some effort.
"What are you staring at? Want to get beaten up again?" I said as I tucked my phone away and looked at the Jacket Guy, who had been glaring at me since he finished his call. He seemed ready to kill me with his eyes, but as soon as I spoke, he quickly averted his gaze. After Wan Fei had hit him hard earlier, the only difference between him and a pig's head now was that he had two black eyes that made him look more like a panda. It would be a bad deal if I got to hit him again before his friends arrived.
About five minutes later, there was suddenly a commotion downstairs.
"What the hell! Who hit my brother?"
Without a doubt, this loud entrance meant the Jacket Guy's crew had arrived.
"Hu Ge! I'm upstairs! Hu Ge!"
The Jacket Guy shouted like a long-lost relative had come to rescue him. Wan Fei immediately slapped him across the face and yelled back, "So what if they came? You scared the hell out of me!"
I couldn't help but laugh; it had startled me too—it was just so sudden.
"Who the hell are you? Who dares to hit Wang Hu's brother? You all want to die?"
A burly man stormed upstairs with a group of lackeys behind him, wielding a baseball bat. Wan Fei leaned in close and whispered in my ear that this guy was the Jacket Guy's backup—Wang Hu—a notorious thug in this area. However, compared to Tian Ye Group, he was still way out of his league.
"Yeah, looks like they want to die," I replied.
I nodded and honestly said, "Isn't that a stupid question? Who the hell wants to die?" My frankness took Wang Hu by surprise. He then attributed my honesty to a show of bravado, pointing at me with the baseball bat in his hand. I wondered why he was cursing me instead of just starting a fight.
Typically, thugs understand this rule: unless they know the other person's background, they should exchange some words before things get physical to gauge each other's strength and avoid hitting a brick wall.
"Shut up! I'm with Tian Ye Group," I coldly replied, looking at the thug leader. The time Xiong Li mentioned was ticking down, and with only a few minutes left, it was time for me to reveal my background. After all, they had the numbers now, and if a fight broke out before Xiong Li's people arrived, the three of us would be at a disadvantage.
"What? Tian Ye Group?" Wang Hu froze when he heard those four words. As a thug leader, how could he not know about Tian Ye Group? Just then, Jacket Guy, who had just gotten back on his feet, spoke up.
"Hu Ge! They’re not from Tian Ye Group! Look at that kid! He’s the one who runs the Winery!"
At that moment, Jacket Guy finally recognized Wan Fei. Wan Fei smiled and said, "I’m not; does it affect my brother? My brother is the General Manager of Tianchi under Tian Ye Group!"
Wan Fei declared confidently. However, as soon as he finished speaking, Wang Hu burst into laughter.
"Haha! What did you say? General Manager of Tianchi? My brother is Liu Fei! You guys are lying without even checking your facts! You’ve been exposed!"
Wang Hu laughed heartily, leaving me stunned. Liu Fei was his brother? I knew he was talking nonsense; he probably had only met Liu Fei a few times and knew he was the General Manager of Tianchi. Otherwise, how could he still be unaware that Liu Fei had fallen from grace?
"You fool! Liu Fei has long been ousted! This is the new General Manager of Tianchi!" Wan Fei chuckled lightly.
But Wang Hu refused to believe it. This reminded me of my earlier conversation with Xiong Li; I had said something similar, but they didn’t believe me either.
"If you don’t believe me, you can call your so-called brother and ask him," Wan Fei continued to argue with them. Wang Hu frowned upon hearing this; clearly, our calm demeanor had begun to sway him into doubting the truth of the situation. However, judging by his expression, it didn’t seem like he had Liu Fei’s number.
"Hu Ge! They’re lying! They must be lying! I've been in Kyoto for so long and have never seen him! How can someone who just shows up suddenly be the General Manager of Tianchi? Is it that easy to get in Tian Ye Group?"
Jacket Guy chimed in with a vengeful tone. He did have a point; getting into Tian Ye Group was indeed difficult, especially for a position like General Manager. How could someone who had never shown his face before suddenly hold such a position?
"Hu Ge! Help me take him down! I’ll give you my car!"
Seeing Wang Hu hesitate, Jacket Guy even offered his car as compensation for this revenge. I had noticed Jacket Guy's car outside when I arrived; it must have been one of those Lamborghinis or Ferraris.
I chuckled lightly, feeling completely at ease. It had already been ten minutes; Xiong Li's people should have arrived by now. Even if they decided to attack us right away, we could hold our ground for a few minutes without any issues. Today’s outcome against them was already certain.
But just then, a commotion erupted downstairs—Xiong Li's people had arrived!
"General Manager Xiang!"
