"Yeah, there's nothing else at the moment!" 0

"Hey? Do you remember what I taught you about suppressing your aura?" 0

"Of course, we remember!" 0

"Good, then let's gather our energy. We're getting on the bus!" Yan Kongyue kept his eyes on the bus, where a faint aura of Gui Qi was slowly swirling. 0

The Bus Driver parked the vehicle at the station, initially thinking it would be like usual with hardly anyone boarding. However, as one after another, more than a dozen young men climbed aboard, his eyes widened in surprise. 0

"Welcome aboard the bus!" The driver was lost in thought, wondering if they had gotten on the wrong bus, completely unaware that he had mixed up his words. 0

Yan Kongyue looked appreciatively at the group of young men. Although they had only been awakened for a few hours, they were either armed police or regular officers, naturally alert. When the bus approached, they sensed something was off but chose not to show it. 0

"Driver, is this the last bus?" 0

"Yes, it's the last one!" 0

"Is the final stop at Xiahe Station?" 0

"Yes, that's right!" After answering, the driver felt even more puzzled. He had been driving this route for many years and had never seen so many people heading to the final stop. In fact, there hadn't been many visitors to that place in recent years. 0

The bus quickly fell into silence; aside from the announcements at each stop, there was hardly any sound. However, this silence felt somewhat eerie. 0

After leaving the bustling area, the bus entered a section of road that had an old-fashioned feel to it. There were far fewer streetlights, and they weren't very bright; two of them flickered intermittently. 0

After turning a corner, a faint mist began to fill the cabin. A few passengers who had been dozing off fell asleep as the mist passed by. 0

The road outside seemed to narrow further, with streetlights becoming increasingly distant. When they reached an open area, there were no streetlights at all. 0

Gradually, the temperature inside the cabin began to drop. A cool breeze brushed past their ears. As they traveled over uneven pavement, the bus creaked and groaned. It felt as if the structure of the cabin was becoming looser; even the windows slid open silently. 0

The changes inside the cabin went unnoticed by the driver, who continued to drive as if nothing were amiss. Even when no one boarded at a stop, he would still open the doors. 0

"The final stop at Xiahe Station has arrived. Please take your belongings and mind your step as you exit. We hope to see you again!" 0

With a clang, the doors swung open. 0

The armed police awoke but found that the interior of the bus was no longer what it had been when they first boarded. 0

The entire cabin was rusted and worn; the seats had transformed into those old-fashioned soft seats wrapped in leather—except now, the leather was torn and peeling, and some cushions had lost their foam padding entirely. 0

Where did the driver go? 0

The driver had already left! 0

It was then that they noticed a red glow filtering through the back window, the taillights of the Energy Bus. A chilling breeze swept through the cabin, and a multitude of translucent figures appeared. To be precise, they were not quite human; they were dismembered spirits—some with missing arms, others with severed legs, and one with a gaping hole in its head from which blood still flowed. 0

Their ages varied widely; the youngest looked to be around two or three years old, while the oldest appeared to be in their seventies or eighties. 0

"Did you all die in a car accident?" Yan Kongyue squeezed out from behind the armed police officer. 0

"Who are you? Why can you see us?" asked a younger male spirit, dressed in tattered motorcycle gear, blood streaming down his face. 0

"We're police officers! We're from the Armed Police Unit!" ten young voices declared in unison. Earlier that afternoon, they had received notification that they were selected to join the Seventh Bureau, and they had been thrilled. After Yan Kongyue had opened their spiritual awareness that evening, they gained a deeper understanding of this realm. Before boarding the bus, they had mentally prepared themselves for what lay ahead. 0

Even though they all pretended to be asleep, they were well aware of the changes happening in the cabin throughout the journey; they just hadn’t expected to encounter so many spirits all at once. 0
