As the night deepened and the stars adorned the sky like scattered gems, the Ye Family Ancestor and his companions had arranged everything in meticulous order. Soon after, Ye Xingchen Lao Zu walked alongside Ye Hui, the head of the Ye Family, as they set off towards the Shen Family for the banquet.
At this moment, the Shen Family was already festooned with lights and decorations, radiating a festive atmosphere. "Moreover," he continued, "our highest cultivation level is merely at the Peak of Marquis realm. He is a King-level powerhouse; would he truly fear us setting up a banquet to trap him? If he doesn't come, wouldn't that be a source of ridicule for him?"
Upon hearing this, Shen Guanghao felt his worries dissipate. He nodded and said earnestly, "What Ancestor Ye says makes perfect sense; I have indeed overthought it. Since Ye Xingchen dares to come, we shall treat him with respect and let him experience the charm of our Shen Family."
As night fell deeper and a gentle breeze swept through, Ye Xingchen and Ye Hui finally appeared within sight of the Shen Family. Shen Zheng wore a smile and quickly stepped forward to greet them. His steps carried an air of urgency, indicating how much he valued Ye Xingchen's arrival.
Seeing this, Ye Xingchen nodded slightly and humbly said, "Shen Brother, there’s no need for such formality; my visit here may cause some inconvenience."
Shen Zheng immediately waved his hand with sincerity and enthusiasm in his expression. "Oh no, Brother Ye! You are mistaken; it should be this way! It is indeed our honor to have you here at our residence."
"Let us go inside and enjoy some food while we talk; allow me to extend my hospitality." With that said, Shen Zheng stepped aside to lead the way, maintaining a respectful yet warm demeanor. Ye Xingchen followed closely behind as they entered the hall together. Laughter filled the air as they conversed amiably, creating a harmonious yet dignified atmosphere. The table was already laden with exquisite dishes and fine wines, awaiting their esteemed guests.
Seated in the elegantly decorated banquet hall, Ye Xingchen and Shen Zheng raised their cups to toast each other frequently amidst hearty laughter. The atmosphere was exceptionally congenial.
"Shen Brother," exclaimed Ye Xingchen with a satisfied smile as he raised his glass. "This banquet is truly lavish; I am thoroughly enjoying myself!"
Shen Zheng beamed with delight as he replied, "Not at all! It is our honor that Brother Ye could attend."
"Come now, let’s have another toast!" They drank heartily once more until both host and guest were thoroughly pleased and well-fed. Finally, after setting down his cup slowly, Ye Xingchen looked on with curiosity and asked, "Shen Brother, I wonder why you called me here today?"
Seeing that it was time to broach the subject at hand, Shen Zheng gently waved his hand to signal his attendants to withdraw while leaving only Shen Guanghao standing nearby. His expression turned serious but remained relaxed as he spoke: "Brother Ye, actually I invited you here because there is an important matter I wish to discuss with you."
Ye Xingchen raised an eyebrow at this revelation; curiosity and anticipation surged within him. "Oh? Please go ahead; I am all ears."
After a moment of contemplation, Shen Zheng's low voice echoed softly in the quiet room: "Within Tianfeng County lies a hidden Sacred Tomb."
At these words, Ye Xingchen's calm demeanor faltered slightly as surprise flickered in his eyes. What was this Sacred Tomb? It was said to be a place where countless mysteries and treasures lay concealed.
