As dawn broke, Kujou awoke to find a young girl nestled in the blankets beside him. Well, this dream was quite pleasant!
Kujou's biological clock was steady. He glanced at the watch on the bedside and thought, it was time to head out for the morning assembly!
He quietly dressed in his military uniform and stealthily opened the door to leave the room. The young girl had already arranged to follow the troop as they departed from Lushun.
Outside, his unit had begun to assemble. Takaishi, One, and Jin Er were all eagerly waiting for him, their faces showing traces of blood but lacking the smell of gunpowder, indicating that they had engaged in close combat with cold weapons! No wonder he hadn’t heard any gunfire last night!

"General Souma," Kujou began, "I have cleaned up the Gendarmerie. From now on, it will serve as a model for military conduct. I hope I will not hear of any misconduct from your subordinates in the future! The Gendarmerie will ensure self-supervision and monitor other operational units. I trust you will cooperate well with Eagle Tsukasa Jin II."
Although Kujou Yuuma held the rank of Major, Souma Tadaaki's driver likely outranked him. Still, Kujou's words instilled fear in Souma.
First, there was the matter of the Gendarmerie's self-cleaning; since I have made it clean, perhaps you should examine yourself for any dirt. If you find any, you can either clean it yourself or allow me to assist you—it's up to you!
Secondly, Arima Jin II had pledged allegiance to Eagle Tsukasa Jin II overnight, which indicated his acceptance of his new master and his loyalty to the Takaishi Family as a vassal.
