The next morning, with the help of Johnny, John donned his armor. As the third strongest member of the team, he was certainly going to join the expedition. Standing by the well, he examined the exceptionally sharp spear in his hand, a trophy from his last encounter with the orcs. 0

"Alright, good brother, it's your turn to shine. Your predecessor dealt with the orcs' unspeakable troubles; today, you must help me eliminate these Goblin pests." 0

Stepping outside the walls, John looked at the soldiers lined up before him and began a brief address. 0

"Everyone here has tasted blood on the battlefield. Today’s mission to eradicate the Goblins must succeed; failure is not an option. You all know what is most valuable about Goblins. Remember, even if you let a Goblin go, make sure to leave its offspring behind." 0

"Yes, leave their offspring behind!" The soldiers raised their spears in unison, waving them vigorously. 0

Seeing their spirits high, John mounted a sturdy horse and waved his hand to signal departure. The troop set off towards Kuiradi, where they had discovered the Goblin-infested woods. 0

Standing on a dirt slope, John gazed at the smoke rising in front of him, puzzled. "Aren't Goblins supposed to be lacking in intelligence? How did they learn to create fire? Aren't they afraid of igniting the forest?" 0

The troops advanced in formation, maintaining proper spacing. John dismounted; riding through the woods was impractical. He drew his spear from his back and followed the soldiers into the dense forest toward the flickering light. 0

Everyone lowered their voices and moved in groups of five, advancing cautiously toward Kuiradi's footsteps as they approached the source of light. 0

The fire was not from Goblins cooking but from several soldiers in tattered armor waving torches desperately to fend off the surrounding Goblins. 0

"Should we engage?" Kuiradi grinned widely at the sight of their enemies, his gladiator blood boiling as he brandished his short sword. 0

"Not yet; let’s get a bit closer first. I want to take down half of them with my javelins." 0

With that command issued, everyone spread out in a half-moon formation, encircling the Goblins ahead. The soldiers felt for their iron-tipped javelins at their backs—newly supplied by John—and planted two into the ground while holding one ready in hand. 0

John watched as Johnny waved a small flag. 0

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! 0

In an instant, three volleys of javelins were launched at the Goblins. The swift projectiles struck true, impaling several bodies into the ground amidst cries and bloodshed that heightened everyone's adrenaline. Without needing further orders, the soldiers charged forward en masse, thrusting their spears repeatedly at any surviving Goblins. 0

In close combat, how could these Goblins armed only with some broken wooden sticks and large beast bones withstand a regular army's assault? 0

Kuiradi faced little resistance as he charged into the throng of monsters, cutting down several foes. Unlike Kuiradi, Master stayed close to John, wary of any unexpected dangers. 0

"Don't hold me back! I want to arm wrestle that big guy!" 0

John tried to shake off the following of Master. It was known that every time he killed an enemy on the battlefield, his soldiers would gain a few experience points. 0

Originally positioned in the center of the formation, John surged to the front lines in just a few breaths. With a swift motion of his spear, he slashed through the necks of three Goblins in quick succession. He then thrust the spear into the chest of one of them, and with a powerful flick, sent the impaled Goblin soaring through the air, crashing down onto his teammate Mu Si behind him. 0

The soldiers were accustomed to fighting alongside their army. Faced with these unarmored, inferior Goblins, it was like a tiger entering a flock of sheep; one by one, they fell beneath the soldiers' blades. 0
