Redman never expected it to be something like this. Anything related to magic was incredibly expensive, or rather, priceless. Once such a potion was produced in the Magic Tower within the Marquis's territory, it would be snatched up by nearby nobles, making it nearly impossible for people like them to get their hands on it.
"Brother, there are a full forty bottles of healing potions here! It's a pity that you have already entered the Transcendent Realm; these potions might not have much effect on you. I estimate their efficacy would be halved," Redman said excitedly, gently patting John's back repeatedly, his eyes filled with admiration and appreciation.
He secretly marveled at how impressive his brother-in-law was, managing to acquire such a rare and hard-to-find item. It truly brought him great pride.
"Hahaha, no worries, no worries! Brother, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Come, come, let’s go meet some distinguished guests," Redman laughed heartily as he pulled John’s arm and quickly headed toward the main table.
When they reached the front of the main table, Redman cleared his throat and spoke loudly. "Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce my brother-in-law, Mr. John Stephen. Back in the day, he was one of my most capable officers! He has also been honored as the Actual Knight of Salty Fish Village due to his outstanding achievements. Truly a young talent with a bright future ahead!"
After briefly introducing John, Redman enthusiastically pointed to the side where Baron Hyde stood. "This is the renowned Baron Hyde from Songlin Town. He is a respected elder in our region!"
Upon hearing Redman's introduction, John quickly stepped forward with a smile, extending his right hand respectfully. "Haha, it’s an honor to meet you, Baron Hyde! Speaking of which, we have quite a connection. I had the pleasure of passing through Songlin Town once and was graciously hosted by you. I still feel honored by that experience!"
Baron Hyde hurriedly returned the greeting. Although he looked down on John internally, he couldn't reveal it outwardly—especially since John's status was clearly on the rise with such valuable potions in hand.
"Haha, Sir Knight John is just joking! I always said you were a young talent; indeed, you are exceptional," Baron Hyde replied.
Redman continued with the introductions. "This is Baron Leon from Green Creek Town; he is quite the knight and known throughout Blink County as a brave warrior."
"Just flattery! It's merely some local fame compared to Baron Redman’s reputation; you are truly a renowned genius knight," Leon said repeatedly while waving his hands and praising both Redman and John.
Redman raised his glass to signal all the guests. "Let us toast to everyone’s arrival! May our kingdom prosper more and more, and may Blink County's tomorrow be even more beautiful!"
Everyone quickly set down their food and raised their glasses in agreement. "May our kingdom prosper more and more! May Blink County's tomorrow be even more beautiful!"
The banquet continued amidst laughter and merriment as everyone clinked glasses and engaged in lively conversation. Meanwhile, John was pulled aside by Redman into a corner.
"What's wrong, big brother? I'm about to spill this drink, be careful!"
Redman snatched the bottle from John's hand and gulped it down. "It's fine if it spills. Just talk to me properly."
"What can I say? You've drunk all my liquor," John slurred, clearly tipsy.
Redman shot him an annoyed look. "What do you mean, what can you say? Of course, I want to know about those potions of yours. Where did you get them? How much did you spend? Just give me a number."
"What, are you going to cover the bill for me?" John chuckled, realizing his brother wasn't thinking of anything else.
"No need for that. I made this myself. All I need from you is some Magic Wolf hearts."
"Yeah, right," Redman scoffed. He didn't believe John had that kind of skill. "If that's true, I'll stand on my head and pee."
