Speed is of the essence in warfare, and the nobles were all rushing forward. In their haste, many Serf Soldiers fell behind, scattering across the mountains. Fortunately, with so many lagging behind, the monsters dared not launch a surprise attack and retreated deep into the woods. 0

Moreover, the nobles, exhausted from their relentless march and hearing reports of monsters nearby, took up their knightly swords to eliminate these potential threats, ensuring that their men would not suffer unnecessary casualties. For a time, the wilderness of Blink County was peaceful, allowing merchant caravans to travel safely. 0

After another day of forced marching, an officer stopped John's horse, panting as he delivered his report. "We should stop here for today; the men can’t go any further." 0

John considered the day's journey and nodded. "Alright, tell everyone to set up camp here and maintain vigilance." 0

Dismounting, he inspected the area before heading over to a campfire that had already been lit. He took off his boots and warmed his feet by the fire. The relief was delightful; after wearing iron boots all day, his feet felt like they were finally free. 0

"What's that smell? It smells like salted fish," came a voice from behind him. It was Redman, holding his nose. 0

John shot an annoyed glance at his older brother. "You think you smell better? Take off your boots and see if you can compete with me." 0

"Fine, I will!" Redman sat down with a thud and pulled off his boots. A pungent odor immediately filled the air, overpowering John’s own scent. 0

John wrinkled his nose and laughed. "Brother, that's not salted fish; that's squid! Let’s not make things difficult for each other—just put your shoes back on." 0

Embarrassed, Redman quickly slipped his boots back on but grimaced at the thought of his own odor. He hastily changed the subject. "So how's the team holding up? Can they keep this pace? We’ve been running so far every day." 0

John could tell that Redman was struggling to find something to say. After all, they had been traveling together daily; it was hard not to notice how things were going. 0

"They can keep going. As long as I crack the whip quickly enough, these Serf Soldiers will manage." 0

Indeed, John had proven that the Noble Lord’s Little Whip was effective. To speed things up even more, he activated a skill. 0

Leading Whip: Can be used once per day; by wielding your long whip, your subjects will increase their work efficiency for three hours. 0

This made the Serf Soldiers run faster and farther than before. To John's surprise, he noticed an inexplicable increase in their numbers as well. 0

Just today, after checking headcounts in various squads, it turned out there were over thirty new faces among them. In recent days, nearly two new soldiers had joined each time they counted. 0

Upon inquiry, it became clear that these were other Serfs who had fallen behind from different groups but mistakenly thought they belonged to John's squad and simply joined in without knowing who their leader was—most couldn’t even name him when asked. 0

The master is indeed the master, residing in the castle. Where is the castle? The castle is located at the master's residence. 0

They are all completely unaware, and it just so happens that he has taken them all for himself. All this wealth belongs to him, and his subordinates have yet to transport it. Isn't this just a stroke of luck? 0
