As they entered the tent, several voices chimed in unison, "What’s wrong, Master? Is something the matter?"
"What could possibly go wrong? Kevin Qi, you two each drank half of that potion. Take a bottle each from the eleventh to the tenth and drink it down."
Hearing John’s words, the seven hurriedly stepped forward and gulped down the potions. This was not like when John first brewed them, and they knew nothing about it. Just this morning, John had received a Wolf Heart, which was clearly a Magic Potion crafted by their Lord.
Agonizing cries escaped the throats of the seven as they consumed the potion, but soon they looked at each other with excitement.
"Ah! Master, it hurts! I didn’t feel this much pain back then!"
"Right! A real man should remain unfazed."
John's expression darkened as he fixed his piercing gaze on the few soldiers who were joking around. Without saying a word, he raised his hand and struck each of them on the head.
"Shut up! Stop your nonsense! Hurry up and take these two bottles to my brother. Remember, you all know what effects they have; make sure to explain everything clearly!"
John shouted loudly.
"Yes, Master!" The two soldiers, having been reprimanded, dared not delay and quickly agreed.
They carefully took the two precious potions as if they were holding rare treasures and gently placed them in their arms.
After exchanging glances, they slowly stepped out of the tent.
In truth, if this had been in the past, John would never have considered informing Redman about this matter. After all, one could never be too sure of people's hearts; he worried that Redman might not be trustworthy and feared that the powerful White Family behind him would take advantage of the situation to swallow him whole without leaving a trace.
However, after spending time with Redman, John gradually realized that this seemingly rough and boisterous man actually had a heart full of loyalty and righteousness.
Unknowingly, John had come to genuinely regard Redman as his own elder brother.
Given this bond, when it was time to share information, there was no need for concealment. Moreover, John was not without support; he had three Transcendent Knights in Salty Fish Village!
As long as he did not violate any established rules, he believed both he and the village would be safe. Even if it came to a point where conflict was unavoidable, with his own strength and the support of three Transcendent Knights, he felt confident in his ability to protect himself.
With these thoughts in mind, John felt a surge of confidence within him.
At Redman's camp, Redman was engrossed in reading a novel themed around noble young masters and fallen lords that he had somehow come across. He smiled broadly at an exciting part of the story.
He was still mumbling to himself.
"Wonderful! I like it this way. It’s mainly about being a bit assertive, looking good, haha! Yes, one must be assertive and also know how to act cute."
Just as Redman wore a silly grin on his face, a soldier burst into the tent.
"Report! My lord, Lord John has sent gifts."
The sudden entrance startled Redman, who quickly placed his legs down from the table and wiped the smile off his face, adopting a serious expression as he addressed the soldier.
"Didn’t I say not to let anyone come in directly? How could you just walk in like that? Did you announce your presence?"
The soldier looked at Redman, who was clearly furious, and hurriedly knelt down. "My lord, I did announce myself and called out several times."
"Still trying to argue? Just report when you need to," Redman thought to himself. He knew he had been so engrossed that he hadn’t heard anything, but he couldn’t admit his mistake. After all, he was one of Lord John’s men. He quickly changed the subject.
"What did you just say?"
"Report, my lord. Lord John has sent gifts."
"Gifts?" Redman was puzzled. It wasn’t a holiday or special occasion; what could John possibly be sending? Could it be related to the Magic Wolf Heart? Perhaps he was sending healing potions—John was indeed thoughtful.
"Get up. Go call them in."
