John faced his formidable opponent without a hint of fear. He quickly straightened up, pushing off the ground with all his might, charging towards the enemy like an arrow released from a bow.
As he closed in on his foe, he leaped high into the air, his sharp blade slicing through the wind as he brought it down with tremendous force. Just as the strike was about to connect, the Dragonborn lightly tapped the ground and swiftly retreated, simultaneously spinning around. A hard, bony tail swept out from behind him like a bolt of lightning, crashing towards John's left side.
The sound of a massive impact echoed throughout the tomb. In a moment of desperation, John raised his left shield with all his strength, barely managing to block the ferocious blow. Although he had averted disaster, the tremendous force still sent a jolt of pain through his left arm.
Looking down, he saw a shocking dent in the center of his shield. He realized that if he hadn’t reacted in time, his forearm would have been shattered.
Quickly conjuring an orange from thin air, he wasted no time swallowing it whole, skin and all. The coolness spreading through his left arm was refreshing; under the combined effects of the orange and Holy Light Aura, John felt his arm fully recover.
Fixing his gaze on the Undead Dragonborn before him, he didn’t hide his fury. "You little brat! How dare you provoke me! Come on, let’s have another round and see who’s stronger!"
After exchanging a knowing glance, they officially began their fierce battle. John swung his long knife fiercely at the Undead Dragonborn, who countered with a weapon made of bone. In an instant, their weapons clashed with sharp sounds echoing through the air, sparks flying as cold light flickered between them.
After several rounds of intense combat, John began to notice his opponent's advantages: incredible speed and agility that far surpassed his own.
However, John did not feel intimidated or retreat; he knew he possessed unique strengths as well. Empowered by Holy Light, he could shatter the opponent's tough body with relative ease. Just moments ago, what seemed like an indestructible tail had been significantly reduced by John's relentless strikes.
"Holy Light Cross Slash!" With a fierce shout, John unleashed a powerful skill. A brilliant beam of light shot through the air like lightning towards the Undead Dragonborn. The attack was devastating and pushed his opponent back several steps.
Seizing this opportunity, John quickly glanced at the battle unfolding beside him. To his relief, thanks to the magic seals he had inscribed earlier, his soldiers were managing to hold off numerous Undead Skeletons for now.
With no need to worry excessively about others' safety, John could focus entirely on this formidable foe before him. After all, the outcome of this battle hinged on their duel.
Two waves of energy collided within the tomb: one warm like a blazing sun and the other cold as autumn ice. After several clashes, they separated again; John's body bore only minor cracks while he acknowledged that despite being injured—his tail severely damaged—the Undead Dragonborn still possessed remarkable strength. It was clear that in life, this Dragonborn had been a Legendary Warrior; otherwise, even in death with diminished power, it wouldn’t be able to withstand him to such an extent.
"You’re strong," John thought to himself. "Too bad I’m not some gaming god!"
He pulled several pills from his waist and swallowed them; these were self-made recovery potions known for their astonishing healing speed and compatibility with Universal Qi Training Method. The downside? They caused excessive flatulence—more than just a little; it felt like an explosion was imminent.
"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!"
A series of sounds made John feel as if he were being propelled forward. He regretted eating too much before the fight; now he couldn’t tell whether it was gas or something else entirely.
