John removed the shield from his left arm, drew the short sword from between his legs, and bit down on the hilt of his long knife. The Three-Blade John was here, and with a quick spit, he discarded the hilt from his mouth—who would actually use three blades?
His hands moved like agile butterflies, constantly flipping and spinning the short sword at his fingertips, dazzling to behold. The short sword sliced through the air, each swing aimed precisely at the Dragonborn's body.
At this moment, the Dragonborn, having lost its tailbone, seemed to lack a crucial balancing mechanism. Its once agile movements became slow and clumsy. Under John's fierce attacks, its skeletal body could only struggle to defend itself, utterly powerless to retaliate.
Simultaneously, a holy light surged toward the Dragonborn like an unrelenting tide, mercilessly eroding its form. Under the continuous assault of this holy light, the bones in the Dragonborn's hand finally could not withstand the pressure and snapped with a sharp crack.
Seizing the opportunity, John swung his sword with unstoppable momentum, striking fiercely at the Dragonborn's neck. With a muffled thud, the eerie skull detached from its body and rolled into John's hand.
John stared expressionlessly at the skull in his palm, still burning with ghostly blue flames. A flicker of determination crossed his eyes. He took a deep breath, and within him, the Holy Light Aura erupted like a raging flame, enveloping the skull.
Under the powerful corrosive effect of the Holy Light Aura, the flames on the skull began to tremble violently and twist before gradually extinguishing. As the flames faded away, the skull quickly crumbled into dust, disintegrating into fine grains that slipped from John's palm and scattered in the wind.
With the Dragonborn's breath fading away, it felt as if an invisible force had been drawn out. The Undead Skeletons that had relied on its powerful energy suddenly became weak and fragile. Like a building stripped of its support, they rapidly decayed and collapsed one after another, raising clouds of dust.
With a gentle flick of his arm, John sheathed the two glimmering short swords into their scabbards at his calves with precision. He then bent down skillfully to pick up various weapons scattered on the ground and secured a small exquisite shield firmly onto his left arm. After completing these tasks, he walked steadily toward his subordinates.
At that moment, Kuiradi approached slowly while clutching his injured left arm. Despite his pale complexion, he gritted through the pain to respond: "My lord, I am mostly unharmed; however, two of my brothers are severely injured. I have just administered them a special Demon's Elixir in hopes of temporarily preserving their lives. But this potion has significant side effects; it may greatly affect their lifespans."
Special Demon's Elixir: Rapidly heals wounds and restores condition but at the cost of lifespan; long-term use is not recommended as it affects one's potential.
"Leave a few people to tend to the wounded; everyone else follow me ahead," John instructed as he headed deeper into the tomb toward a treasure chest.
