Gazing at the crystal-clear water surface, a long-lost desire to fish stirred within Yun Xiao Yi. If only he had fishing gear in hand, he would surely cast a few lines, perhaps reeling in an unexpected catch, such as a rare fish imbued with endless magical enhancements.
In the game "My World," crafting a Fishing Rod is quite simple: it only requires two materials, a wooden stick and some thread. While he had the wooden stick, he was unfortunately short on thread.
There are primarily two ways to obtain thread in the game. The first method involves defeating monsters like spiders, Cave Spiders, or Spider Knights. Defeating them has a chance of dropping thread, making it the easiest way to acquire it in the game. At night, various types of spiders automatically appear to chase and attack Steve.
However, in real life, this method becomes quite challenging. Although spiders are indeed everywhere, the terrifying, plate-sized glowing-eyed spiders from the game are nearly nonexistent in reality. Such monsters could easily become the theme of a movie titled "Spider Disaster." In contrast, most real-life spiders are about the size of a thumb and can be easily eliminated. Yun Xiao Yi was uncertain whether these small Little Spiders would drop any thread; only by trying could he confirm.
The second method involves obtaining thread from Spider Webs. By using scissors to cut a complete Spider Web and then combining it in the crafting menu, one Spider Web can be split into nine pieces of thread. This method is more cost-effective than simply destroying the web.
Suddenly, Yun Xiao Yi turned to Zhao Yun and asked, "Do you know where I can find a large Spider Web?"
"A Spider Web?" Zhao Yun replied with confusion.
"That's right."
Yun Xiao Yi nodded, indicating that he was referring to a larger, preferably very large Spider Web. He was uncertain whether the smaller Spider Webs would be suitable for the game’s method of collecting silk threads. After all, the mechanics in a game could differ significantly from reality.
To be on the safe side, he specifically mentioned a Spider Web that was large enough. “It’s an old, abandoned cellar,” Zhao Yun replied with a hint of a smile. “When I was young, I sneaked in to play and saw a spider larger than my hand; it scared me quite a bit. But after that incident, I received a stern lecture from my father and never set foot in there again.”
“However, I can guarantee that there should still be many large Spider Webs present.”
Since the cellar was sealed off by my father, no one else has entered it. Over the years, it must have become a small ecological system, perhaps even capable of meeting our needs.
Upon hearing this description, Yun Xiao Yi's eyes lit up. "Great! Let's go check it out right now."
However, Zhao Yun scratched his head lightly and replied hesitantly, "But, Master, we might not be able to get in right now. The key to the cellar is with my father."
"We could force our way in," Yun Xiao Yi suggested. "After all these years, that door must be quite worn down."
Considering the practical situation, unless the door was made of indestructible material, forcing it open should be an easy task for someone with extraordinary abilities. However, since it wasn't an urgent matter, there was no need to resort to violence.
Moreover, crafting a Fishing Rod was merely one of life's trivial tasks and not worth excessive effort. Since the key was at hand, it should be used to unlock the door. This was also a sign of respect for Zhao Family Village and its people. After all, this cellar was part of Zhao Family Village's property, even if it had long been abandoned.
Yun Xiao Yi had received a modern education. Although he couldn't travel back in time to promote equality as it was two thousand years ago, he never considered solving problems through violence. Conquering through force may not win people's hearts. It is through virtue that one can genuinely win over others.
His goal has always been to earn the trust of those around him through his own strength and gradually change the world together with them. However, this did not mean he would abandon the use of force; he simply promised not to initiate violence first.
