I left the company, allowing the internal chaos to continue brewing. 0

The frequency of my phone vibrating told me that the situation at the company must be a complete mess. 0

“Yue Yue, do you know?” My father’s voice came through the line. “The investor is seriously questioning the product's progress. Your company is in a precarious position.” 0

I chuckled lightly. “Oh? Has the truth come out so soon?” 0

“The investor wants to reassess the investment plan,” my father said, a hint of schadenfreude in his tone. “It seems your predictions were correct.” 0

Just then, the doorbell rang. 0

I opened the door to find Wu Zhifeng and Zhang Yuanliang standing outside, their faces pale. 0

“Li Siyue, you have to help us!” Wu Zhifeng’s tone had softened considerably. “The investor is holding a product review meeting tomorrow.” 0

Zhang Yuanliang also dropped his usual arrogance. “As long as you’re willing to cooperate, the position of project leader is still yours.” 0

I leaned against the doorframe, watching them with amusement. “Cooperate with what?” 0

“Prove our product's progress in front of the investor,” Wu Zhifeng said. 0

“So you want me to lie?” I stated bluntly. 0

“This isn’t lying! It’s just… slightly embellishing the progress,” Zhang Yuanliang hurriedly explained. 0

I scoffed. “You want me to admit to those false development plans?” 0

“Li Siyue, don’t be so ungrateful!” Wu Zhifeng’s tone turned aggressive again. 0

“Do you know what happens when you offend me?” 0

“What happens?” I retorted. “Like what?” 0

"You can forget about mixing in this circle from now on!" Wu Zhifeng roared from outside the door. 0

I glanced at my watch. "Sorry, I have something to attend to." 0

"Li Siyue!" Wu Zhifeng blocked the doorway. "Are you really going to go against the company to the end?" 0

"I just don't want to help you lie," I replied calmly. 0

"If that counts as going against us, then so be it." 0

"You!" Wu Zhifeng trembled with anger. 0

"By the way, I suggest you start preparing Plan B now," I added. 0

"What do you mean?" Zhang Yuanliang asked warily. 0

I smiled meaningfully. "The Investor's review can't be fooled with just a PowerPoint presentation." 0

"What exactly do you want?" Wu Zhifeng's gaze turned fierce. 0

I gently closed the door, and through the door panel, Wu Zhifeng's furious roar echoed: "Li Siyue! I will make sure you can't stay in this industry!" 0

--- 0

In the morning, when I clocked in, my employee badge was rejected. 0

"Li Siyue, you are no longer an employee of the company," Zhang Yuanliang strode over with a victorious smile on his face. 0

"Your access has been revoked." 0

I calmly pressed the recording button on the device in my pocket. 0

"So, I've been fired?" 0

"Yes, you've been fired!" Zhang Yuanliang said from a position of superiority. 0

"People like you, who don't fit in, should have left long ago. Don't even think about mingling in this circle anymore!" 0

"Alright, may I ask if there is a written notice?" I continued to inquire. 0

His expression suddenly froze. 0

HR Xiao Li hurried over, "Li Siyue, please come here." 0

In the office, the HR took out a voluntary resignation agreement. 0

"The company is willing to pay one month's salary as compensation," the HR said gently. 0

"You know this circle is quite small; we'll inevitably have to interact in the future." 0

I smiled, "I remember the company policy states that employees must give one month's notice before terminating their labor contract, along with corresponding compensation clauses." 0

"Well..." the HR was at a loss for words. 0

"And just now, Product Director Zhang Yuanliang clearly stated that I was dismissed." 0

I pressed the play button on my recorder, and Zhang Yuanliang's arrogant voice came through clearly. 0

The HR's expression changed. 0

"Li Siyue, don't make this situation too ugly," she lowered her voice. 0

"The company still has some influence in the industry." 0

"Thank you for the reminder; we'll see each other at the Labor Bureau," I replied as I returned to my desk to pack my belongings and leave. 0

A week later, I submitted an application to the Labor Arbitration Committee. 0

The evidence included: recordings, email correspondence, work group chat records, as well as previous performance evaluations and project bonus announcements. 0

The company began to exert various pressures on me. 0

My social circle was being screenshotted and spread around, and I received calls from headhunters hinting that I had no opportunities left in the industry. 0

"Do you think it's worth it?" my father asked with concern. 0

"Of course it's worth it," I replied firmly. "This is not just about compensation; it's about proving what is right." 0

Three months later, the arbitration results were announced. 0

"According to the relevant provisions of the Labor Law, the company unlawfully terminated the labor contract and must pay compensation equivalent to ten months' salary, along with a project bonus of one hundred thousand yuan..." 0

I looked at Zhang Yuanliang's pale face across from me, feeling no emotion inside. 0

"Li Siyue!" he called out as he blocked my way in the hallway. 0

"You've won, but you won't be able to stay in this circle anymore!" 0

I stopped and turned to face him. 0

"Oh really? Then guess where my next job will be." 0
