"Do I look like I'm joking?" Jiang Chen countered.
"Not really, but…" Lin Rumei met Jiang Chen's gaze and felt a bit flustered under his intense stare. Someone like Jiang Chen didn't joke around; he was serious.
"No 'buts.' I like obedient people. Since you understand your place, I will support you in becoming the leader of the underground world on Hong Kong Island," Jiang Chen said nonchalantly, as if this matter was trivial for him.
"I… I’m afraid I can’t handle it," Lin Rumei replied awkwardly. She didn’t dare to take on the role of the Underground Leader of Hong Kong Island because it was a difficult position, especially considering Jiang Chen's unpredictable thoughts. He clearly disliked the ways of the underground forces yet wanted to support her as their leader. She had no idea how she would manage if she actually became the Underground Leader.
"If you're not interested in being the Underground Leader, then there's no need for me to go tonight. I wasn't inclined to get involved in the affairs of your underground forces on Hong Kong Island, but since you asked me, if I do get involved, it must be according to my wishes. I allow the existence of underground forces, but there must be rules governing their actions; there are things that should not be touched," Jiang Chen stated.
Jiang Chen truly had little interest in meddling with the affairs of the underground world on Hong Kong Island; he was just taking this opportunity because he happened to run into Lin Rumei.

At that moment, cars were already parked all around the teahouse. Lin Rumei parked her car and led Jiang Chen and Ding Yan toward the entrance.
"Mr. Jiang, everyone is already here; my dad has also arrived. We can just go straight in," Lin Rumei said as they walked.
Jiang Chen showed little reaction and maintained a calm expression as if he were merely there for tea without any sense of crisis.
Inside the teahouse hall, the atmosphere was quite tense. A group of underground bosses from Hong Kong Island sat at their respective tables with cold expressions.
As soon as Lin Rumei and Jiang Chen appeared, they immediately drew attention from those present.
