Seeing Lin Rumei's serious expression, Sang Ming laughed even more recklessly.
"A kid like you dares to compare yourself to Elder Liang? You really don't know the heights of heaven and depths of the earth. With just a flick of his finger, Elder Liang could kill you. Miss Lin, you should show some respect; offending Elder Liang will come at a cost," Sang Ming scoffed.
Jiang Chen observed coldly from the sidelines, completely ignoring Sang Ming. The only person present who could catch Jiang Chen's attention was Elder Liang.
The night before last at Aodao, Zhao Hun had brought a Master Wu to the hotel to confront Jiang Chen. After being taught a lesson by Jiang Chen, Zhao Hun had mentioned Master Wu's master, who was none other than Elder Liang standing before them now.
However, despite being a martial arts giant from Hong Kong Island and having reached the Divine Realm, Elder Liang seemed insignificant in Jiang Chen's eyes.
Lin Rumei glanced at Jiang Chen, who remained indifferent.
"Mr. Jiang," Lin Rumei called softly.
Jiang Chen looked up, his gaze returning as he picked up the teacup on the table. Without looking at anyone, he spoke as if to himself, "You are all Underground Bosses of Hong Kong Island, right? Since everyone is here today, I would like to announce something: from now on, Lin Rumei will be the Underground Leader of Hong Kong Island."
Jiang Chen's voice was calm, but it landed like a grenade in the room. Everyone stared at him in shock, completely unable to comprehend how he had the audacity to say such a thing. Even Lin Shuang was taken aback and caught off guard by Jiang Chen's words.
"Rumei, what is going on?" Lin Shuang asked in a low voice, his tone anxious and worried.
"Dad, this is Mr. Jiang's decision," Lin Rumei replied, her heart racing with uncertainty.
After the initial shock, chaos erupted in the teahouse.
Sang Ming looked at Jiang Chen, his smile fading as he felt displeasure rise within him. Jiang Chen's words had angered him; he coveted the position of Underground Leader of Hong Kong Island himself, yet an outsider dared to meddle in their affairs.
"You brat, who do you think you are? You have no right to speak here," Sang Ming shouted angrily.
Jiang Chen's expression darkened slightly as he flicked his finger. The light green tea in his cup flew into the air, forming a water arrow that shot straight towards Sang Ming.
Sang Ming was taken aback and before he could react, the water arrow pierced through his neck, blood spraying everywhere as he clutched his throat and fell to the ground dead. Until his last moment, Sang Ming never expected someone would dare to kill him.
With Sang Ming suddenly killed, chaos ensued in the room. Even Elder Liang, who had been sitting calmly like a mountain, changed his expression and hurriedly stood up to check on Sang Ming's injuries.
Seeing that Sang Ming was already lifeless, Elder Liang's gaze turned sharp as lightning towards Jiang Chen, filled with murderous intent. Sang Ming had invited him to oversee things today, yet someone had killed Sang Ming right in front of him—this was clearly a blatant disregard for him as a martial arts giant of Hong Kong Island.
"You young man must be incredibly bold to commit murder here and not regard me at all," Elder Liang questioned with suppressed fury.
"At your age, it's better not to get involved in this matter," Jiang Chen replied casually.
"You are too arrogant! I haven't made a move in many years, but today I will teach you a lesson for your insolence," Elder Liang said angrily. As someone standing at the pinnacle of martial arts in the Divine Realm, he believed that no matter how talented Jiang Chen might be as a young man, he was not worthy of being arrogant before him.
