Lin Rumei stood up, suppressing her shock. “Then Mr. Jiang, how about we have dinner together tonight?” Lin Rumei asked.
“You can dine with them; I’ll head back to eat,” Jiang Chen replied.

“Miss Lin, who exactly is Mr. Jiang?” one of the bosses asked nervously.
“He is someone we cannot afford to provoke. Do you know why our Lin family has ceased cooperation with the Golden Triangle since last year?” Lin Rumei replied.
“Is it because of this Mr. Jiang?”
“Exactly.”
“The Golden Triangle is a lucrative opportunity! Your Lin family is missing out on at least ten billion a year by not collaborating with them. Can you really afford that?”
“If we could afford it, Sang Ming’s fate would be our own. Everyone here should recognize the times; you’ve seen Mr. Jiang’s strength. Moreover, he is not a merciful person. If you defy him even slightly, it could lead to your demise,” Lin Rumei warned.
“Miss Lin, if you think that just one Mr. Jiang can make us willingly submit, then you might be dreaming. We in the Hong Kong Island underground world have our own rules. Mr. Jiang is an outsider; he has no right to dictate our actions. If you disrupt our livelihoods, it concerns thousands of people. If one person's livelihood is cut off, they will fight back fiercely, and things could get out of hand. Can Mr. Jiang really kill everyone?” someone sneered.
“You can try it if you wish; others may not dare to speak up, but whoever causes trouble will undoubtedly face death,” Lin Rumei said coldly.
The bosses fell silent, feeling anxious about the potential for their subordinates to cause trouble—if that happened, it would be disastrous for them. This Mr. Jiang was too decisive with murder; if it came to that point, they might not even have a chance to explain before being killed by Jiang Chen.
“Rumei, is this leadership position Mr. Jiang's idea or yours?” Lin Shuang pulled her daughter aside and asked quietly.
“Of course it’s Mr. Jiang’s idea; I don’t have the ability to covet this position,” Lin Rumei replied helplessly, feeling as though she had been forced into a corner.
“Sigh, this leadership role is not easy to handle. Even with Mr. Jiang backing you up, if you follow his wishes and cut off many people's income streams, those people won’t hesitate to retaliate against you when the time comes. You need to discuss this with Mr. Jiang later; otherwise, your life could be in danger at any moment,” Lin Shuang advised.
