"Xiao Qi is also a woman. Why don't you teach her to serve you?"
My words left my mother-in-law speechless.
My sister-in-law rushed at me in anger, reaching out to grab my hair. I quickly seized her arm and pushed her back. She stumbled and fell to the ground.
Tears instantly filled my sister-in-law's eyes as she accused me, "Zhou Ya, how dare you push me?"
"You little bitch, I'll fight you!"
With that, she tried to get up and wrestle with me. I swiftly picked up the broom from the floor and swung it hard at her face.
"Smack!"
The broom struck her cheek with a sharp sound. My sister-in-law froze for a few seconds, and then tears streamed down her face.
She cried out, "Zhou Ya, how dare you hit me!"
My father-in-law frowned impatiently, "Why are you crying during the New Year?"
My sister-in-law widened her eyes in disbelief, "Dad, she hit me first!"
My father-in-law looked at her sternly, "During the New Year, the gods are watching from above."
"If you dare to cry again, I'll throw you out."
Terrified, my sister-in-law covered her mouth and dared not make another sound.
I looked gratefully at my father-in-law, "Dad, you're right!"
"During the New Year, we should all be happy."
My father-in-law nodded approvingly, "Zhou Ya, you've finally grown up."
Seeing this, my mother-in-law quickly changed the subject, "Go wash the vegetables; we still need to prepare dinner."
I snorted coldly and walked straight into the kitchen.
I picked up the kitchen knife from the cutting board and brought it down hard onto the chopping block.
With a loud bang, both my mother-in-law and Sister-in-law jumped in surprise. I turned to them and smiled, “Whoever makes me work, I’ll chop them!”
I pointed the knife at my mother-in-law and threatened, “If you make me work again, I’ll help you meet your end.”
My mother-in-law was so startled that she couldn’t say a word. My father-in-law and husband stared at me in shock, probably not expecting me to be so bold.
Sister-in-law quickly shut the door in fear. After returning to my room, I couldn’t help but laugh at their terrified expressions. Indeed, it takes a villain to deal with a villain!
Lying on my bed, I contemplated my next plan. Before long, Sister-in-law knocked on the door, “Dinner is ready.”
I replied and got out of bed to leave the room. Little Qi was someone who feared the strong and bullied the weak; just a few words were enough to intimidate her.
However… when dealing with these wicked people, one must be ruthless!
During dinner, my father-in-law and mother-in-law were unusually attentive. My father-in-law kept serving me food, saying, “Xiao Ya, this is your favorite braised pork.”
My mother-in-law also tried to please me by adding a piece to my plate, “Eat more.”
My husband wore a big smile, “Honey, this soup is really good; you should try it.”
Sister-in-law sat silently beside us, probably still angry. I glanced at the fatty meat in my bowl and said, “Dad, I don’t like fatty meat.”
My father-in-law paused for a moment before chuckling and shoving it into his own mouth.
"Fine, fine, fine, if you don't want to eat, then don't eat."
My mother-in-law and husband chimed in, "Xiao Ya, you usually eat vegetarian. You should have some meat to replenish your health."
I put down my chopsticks, my tone cold. "You all can eat."
Sister-in-law smiled smugly at me.
My husband frowned. "Zhou Ya, stop making a scene!"
"During the New Year, don't provoke my parents," I retorted with a cold laugh.
My husband was taken aback and instinctively glanced at his parents.
Father-in-law shot my husband a glare. "It's the New Year; no fighting allowed!"
My husband immediately fell silent, not daring to speak.
My mother-in-law and Sister-in-law also lowered their heads, avoiding my gaze.
I knew they were afraid.
