Days passed, and life continued as usual, yet the family remained engulfed in the sorrow of losing their daughter. 0

On Wednesday, Liu Yuan Kui received a call from his company. Before leaving, he urged his wife to take Dong Dong out for some fresh air. 0

Zhao Wenya took Dong Dong to the amusement park, hoping that her son would regain his playful spirit amidst the bustling crowd. However, after spending some time there, Dong Dong still appeared gloomy. 0

Feeling disheartened, Zhao Wenya held Dong Dong's hand with one hand while dialing Liu Yuan Kui's number with the other, intending to take Dong Dong to the hospital for a check-up. 0

Zhao Wenya worked at a hospital, and after Liu Yan's death, her workplace had given her some time off. 0

Liu Yuan Kui was busy at work and couldn't leave, so Zhao Wenya had no choice but to hang up. When she looked at Dong Dong again, she noticed he was holding a tattered umbrella. Rather than being a broken umbrella, it was more like the skeleton of one; there was no fabric covering it, and it looked dark and worn. 0

Suddenly, Zhao Wenya realized that this was a burnt umbrella—the very one Liu Yan had used on the night of the incident. 0

Amidst the throngs of people around her, Zhao Wenya felt as though she had plunged into an icy abyss; she distinctly sensed a pair of eyes watching her from the shadows. 0

She pulled Dong Dong aside, her expression revealing tension and unease as she urgently asked him, "Where did you get this?" 0

"Just now when you were on the phone, my sister gave it to me," Dong Dong replied. Upon hearing this, Zhao Wenya's face drained of color. She stared in horror at the umbrella frame in Dong Dong's hands and trembled as she asked, "What did your sister say to you?" 0

Dong Dong leaned closer, whispering into Zhao Wenya's ear with an air of mystery, "Sister said she wants to kill you." 0

Zhao Wenya's face darkened with fear that quickly turned into rage. She snatched the umbrella from him, gripping it tightly before slamming it down onto the ground repeatedly, oblivious to the astonished gazes of other visitors. 0

The umbrella frame shattered into pieces like a dismembered corpse. After venting her frustration, Zhao Wenya turned around and glared fiercely at Dong Dong, her eyes filled with hatred as she declared, "She wants to kill me? Not a chance!" 0

"Sister is gone," Dong Dong remarked nonchalantly, seemingly unfazed by his mother's frantic behavior. He gazed longingly at the crowded scene ahead, his voice tinged with nostalgia. 0

Zhao Wenya stared in shock, following Dong Dong's gaze through the bustling crowd. Suddenly, a familiar figure turned to glance back. Though it was just a profile, Zhao Wenya was instantly dumbfounded; the girl looked strikingly like the deceased Liu Yan. 0

Liu Yan had made a brief confession to Dong Dong right under her nose, stating her intention to kill her stepmother. The more Zhao Wenya thought about it, the more terrified she became. Her high heels struck something, and immediately a crisp sound echoed as an object fell to the ground. 0

Zhao Wenya hurriedly bent down to look. Goodness, wasn't that the bottle that held Liu Yan's middle finger? 0

Dong Dong picked it up and cradled it in her arms, muttering to herself, "Sister sent me this bottle; I still need it to keep Mom's finger in." 0

Later that evening, Liu Yuan Kui returned home with heavy steps. He pulled a CD from his bag and tossed it onto the table. 0

Zhao Wenya stared at the CD, her expression freezing in place. 0

"I didn't go to the office today," Liu Yuan Kui leaned back on the sofa, his gaze fixed intently on Zhao Wenya, filled with scrutiny. "The call this morning wasn't from the company; it was from a stranger." 0

"Oh?" Zhao Wenya sat down on the opposite sofa, a flicker of panic crossing her eyes before she quickly feigned calmness. 0

Liu Yuan Kui stood up and motioned for her to follow him into the room, where he opened his computer and inserted the CD. 0

Soon, a familiar intersection appeared on the screen. Cars rushed by in the pouring rain, and then a dark figure stepped out of a vehicle—it was Liu Yan. 0

Zhao Wenya's mouth fell open as the screen displayed the entire scene of Liu Yan being electrocuted! 0

In fact, several wires had been severed that day, and one of them sparked and wrapped around Liu Yan's body. In an instant, she was engulfed in blinding light before collapsing lifelessly to the ground. 0

Zhao Wenya shifted her gaze away from the screen to look at Liu Yuan Kui, her eyes filled with confusion and unease as she asked, "Where did this CD come from? Was it given by that stranger?" 0

Liu Yuan Kui nodded. "He is a young university student. That day, he captured everything on camera. But it wasn't by chance; he was specifically waiting there." 0

"What? Are you saying that the university student knew an accident would happen to Liu Yan?" Zhao Wenya exclaimed, her face filled with shock. 0

"No, the university student had met her the day before the incident," Liu Yuan Kui said as he lit a cigarette, taking a deep drag and slowly exhaling the smoke. "He and Liu Yan were high school classmates, and he had pursued her before. The boy mentioned that it was probably for this reason that she sought him out. Liu Yan instructed him to find a suitable spot and use a phone with decent pixel quality, ensuring it displayed the time. He started filming at 5:30 PM, capturing the footage of what happened later." 0

"Could it be that her death was planned by herself?" Zhao Wenya was startled by her own speculation, her brows furrowing as she continued, "Why would she want someone to record her dying? And why not choose a higher-quality camera like a DV? Lastly, why insist on having the time displayed in the footage?" 0

"Dong Dong, how did you get in here? Get out!" Liu Yuan Kui scolded. Zhao Wenya looked down to see Dong Dong staring intently at the computer screen, completely absorbed and showing no intention of leaving. 0

"The car hasn't moved," Dong Dong said. 0

Liu Yuan Kui had intended to carry Dong Dong out but was momentarily stunned by his words. 0

Dong Dong took a couple of steps forward and stopped at the desk, placing his hand on the mouse. The cursor on the screen began to draw a circle. 0

"The car hasn't moved," Dong Dong repeated, his big eyes gleaming with an eerie brightness. 0

In the area where Dong Dong drew the circle, a truck was parked. It remained still in the frame until Liu Yan got out of the car; only then did the truck suddenly start and drive straight toward a nearby electric pole. 0

Could it be that Liu Yan's death was a planned murder by someone else? 0
