As Liang Tian and his group stepped into the Mysterious Ruins, a sense of ancient mystery enveloped them. The walls were adorned with gemstones that emitted a faint glow, casting flickering shadows around them, as if concealing countless unknown dangers.
The group moved cautiously along the passage, with Liang Tian leading the way, ever vigilant of their surroundings. Xiao Zhan followed closely behind, his sharp gaze ready to respond to any sudden threats. Chen Xue, positioned in the middle of the group, felt a knot of anxiety in her heart but trusted Liang Tian. She tightly gripped her spiritual artifact, drawing courage from it.
Not far ahead, a sudden deep rumble echoed through the corridor. Liang Tian's heart raced as he shouted, "Everyone be careful! There are traps!" No sooner had he spoken than countless sharp arrows shot out from the walls on either side, raining down upon them like a storm. These arrows glinted ominously, moving at incredible speed and clearly coated with deadly poison.
Liang Tian quickly channeled his spiritual energy, forming a Spiritual Shield in front of him. Xiao Zhan and the others also activated their defensive techniques; in an instant, brilliant lights flickered as their energies surged. The arrows struck against the Shield with a clattering sound, but fortunately, their defenses held firm and no one was injured.
However, this was just the beginning. As soon as the arrows ceased, the ground began to tremble violently. Massive stone slabs rose from below, attempting to separate the group. Seeing this, Liang Tian acted decisively and shouted, "Don't scatter! Stay close together!" The group quickly huddled together under his guidance, searching for gaps between the slabs as they struggled to evade being crushed.
Just when they thought they had escaped the stone slabs' assault, a gigantic Guardian Beast appeared ahead. This creature resembled a qilin and radiated powerful waves of spiritual energy. It opened its massive jaws and let out a thunderous roar, unleashing a torrent of searing flames toward them.
Liang Tian understood the ferocity of these flames; being hit would spell disaster. He concentrated all his spiritual energy and unleashed a formidable Spell from the celestial realm. An Ice Blue Light Screen materialized before them just in time to collide with the flames. With a deafening boom, the fire and Light Screen canceled each other out, sending shockwaves that rocked everyone.
The Guardian Beast, enraged by its missed attack, pawed at the ground and launched another assault. This time, golden light flickered across its body as streams of golden sword energy shot forth like blades aimed at the group.
While directing everyone to defend themselves, Liang Tian searched for the Guardian Beast's weakness. He noticed that when it attacked, its eyes dimmed slightly—perhaps indicating a vulnerability in its defenses.
"Everyone hold steady and follow my lead!" Liang Tian shouted loudly. He seized the moment when the Guardian Beast prepared for another strike and dashed forward like a bolt of black lightning toward it. Channeling his spiritual energy into his palms, he struck fiercely at the beast's eyes.
The Guardian Beast sensed danger and attempted to evade; however, Liang Tian's speed was too swift for it to react fully. His palms struck its cheek with tremendous force, causing it to stagger backward.
In pain, the Guardian Beast thrashed wildly, creating deep craters in the ground around it. Seizing this opportunity to regroup with his companions, Liang Tian said urgently, "Its eyes are its weak point! Let's all attack its eyes together and take it down quickly!"
Everyone nodded, and under Liang Tian's leadership, they unleashed their strongest attacks. Xiao Zhan swung his fists with fierce momentum, charging towards the Guardian Beast; "King of the Broadsword" Wang Meng raised his large blade, slicing through the air with sharp blade energy; the disciples of the Lingxiao Sect also cast spells, beams of light shooting towards the Guardian Beast.
Under the barrage of attacks, the Guardian Beast began to falter. Seizing the opportunity, Liang Tian charged once more and successfully struck the beast in its eye. The Guardian Beast let out a painful roar, swaying for a moment before crashing to the ground.
As they looked at the fallen Guardian Beast, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. However, they knew that the dangers within these ruins were far from over. Liang Tian looked at everyone and said firmly, "Is everyone alright? There will be more dangers ahead; we cannot let our guard down. Let’s move forward!" Everyone nodded in agreement and continued deeper into the ruins under Liang Tian's guidance, ready to face even more unknown challenges.
