Liang Tian led the group through the dense underbrush, finally arriving at the ancient Abandoned Taoist Temple. The temple stood tall in the heart of the mountains, surrounded by thick woods. Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the temple's crumbling walls.
The temple's main door was half ajar, with much of its paint flaking away to reveal decayed wood beneath. An eerie atmosphere enveloped the temple, permeated by a sense of decay, as if the weight of time had settled here. Weeds grew rampant around the structure, nearly drowning out the steps leading up to it, while moss clung to the walls like green curtains, telling tales of years gone by without a soul to care for it.
Liang Tian furrowed his brow, his keen senses detecting a powerful Restriction and an aura of danger lurking within the temple. The presence felt like a venomous snake hidden in the shadows, sending chills down his spine.
"Everyone be careful; there seems to be many dangers hidden inside this temple," Liang Tian whispered, signaling for everyone to prepare for battle. The group nodded in agreement, their eyes reflecting vigilance and determination.
Xiao Zhan clenched his fists tightly, scanning their surroundings as he said, "Don’t worry, brothers; we are all ready."
Chen Xue stood beside Liang Tian, feeling a twinge of fear but forcing herself to remain calm. She knew that panicking was not an option at this moment; she had to trust Liang Tian and her companions.
Cautiously, they stepped into the temple. The stone path creaked underfoot, echoing the passage of time. In the courtyard of the temple lay a massive incense burner toppled on its side, surrounded by broken tiles and rotting wooden fragments.
Liang Tian walked at the forefront, his gaze alert as he observed every detail around him; no subtle movement escaped his notice. Suddenly, he sensed a faint ripple of spiritual energy emanating from the main hall ahead.
"There’s something going on in the main hall; stay close to me," Liang Tian said softly as he began to approach the hall. The others followed closely behind him, their steps light and cautious.
When they reached the front of the hall, they found its door firmly shut, covered in intricate carvings of various runes. These runes emitted a faint glow, seemingly guarding something within.
Liang Tian examined the runes closely, trying to discern a way to break through. Drawing upon his memories from the celestial realm and his training experience, he quickly realized that these runes formed a powerful Restriction array. Attempting to forcefully break it could trigger an even stronger defensive mechanism, putting everyone in danger.
"This Restriction is quite tricky; let’s not act rashly," Liang Tian advised as he began searching his mind for a method to unravel it.
At that moment, Chen Xue suddenly pointed to the wall on one side of the main hall and said, "Liang Tian, look over there; it seems there are some characters on the wall."
Everyone followed Chen Xue's direction and saw some faint inscriptions carved into the wall. Liang Tian stepped forward, gently brushing away the dust to examine them closely.
“To enter this hall, one must seek the Five Element Spirit Pearl to set its position right; only then can the barrier be broken,” Liang Tian read aloud from the wall.
“The Five Element Spirit Pearl? Where are we supposed to find that?” Xiao Zhan frowned and asked.
Liang Tian pondered for a moment before responding, “Since it mentions the Five Element Spirit Pearl here, it must be hidden somewhere within the Taoist temple. Let’s split up to search, but we must remain vigilant; danger could lurk everywhere.”
Thus, under Liang Tian's guidance, they divided into several small groups and cautiously searched within the Taoist temple for the Five Element Spirit Pearl. Liang Tian stayed in front of the main hall, continuing to study the Restriction runes, hoping to uncover more clues about the Five Element Spirit Pearl. An adventure to find the Five Element Spirit Pearl and break the Restriction had begun in the ancient Abandoned Taoist Temple, and what unknown challenges awaited them remained a mystery…
