As the city lights began to twinkle, Lin Xiao Yu had just returned from the warm and joyous celebration of Lin Xin Yi's full moon banquet. Without missing a beat, she rushed off to Beijing, immersing herself in her cherished dance career. In the training room, her lively figure was reflected in the mirrors; each spin and leap seemed to narrate her love and dedication to life, radiating an endless yearning for the future.
At the same time, Lu Zean shone brightly in his graduate position. With relentless effort and exceptional talent, he quickly rose to prominence, finally receiving the long-awaited promotion that came with a significant salary increase. When this joyful news swept through their lives like a spring breeze, an indescribable happiness enveloped them both.
To commemorate this special moment, they held hands and entered a romantic Western restaurant. Inside, the soft yellow lights danced gracefully, and gentle music floated through the air, as if Cupid himself were quietly playing a melody. Lu Zean gallantly pulled out a chair for Lin Xiao Yu, waiting for her to sit elegantly before taking his seat across from her.
Lu Zean smiled at Lin Xiao Yu, his eyes filled with tenderness. "Darling, you look beautiful today." Lin Xiao Yu's cheeks flushed slightly as she playfully scolded him, "You always know how to flatter me. Why are you saying this all of a sudden?" Lu Zean replied earnestly, "Every day with you makes me feel happy, especially today; that feeling is even stronger."
They carefully selected two succulent steaks, and when they arrived at the table, the aroma wafted up, instantly igniting their appetites. The sommelier elegantly poured red wine into crystal-clear glasses; under the light, it resembled flowing rubies, exuding a captivating and profound glow.
During their meal, Lu Zean cut a piece of steak and savored it before saying contentedly, "Mmm, this steak is really good. What do you think?" Lin Xiao Yu nodded gently. "Yes, it's tender and flavorful. By the way, will your new position make you busier?" Lu Zean quickly waved his hand. "Don't worry; I'll balance work and life. After all, I have you waiting for me." He poured Lin Xiao Yu another glass of red wine.
Lin Xiao Yu raised her glass and took a small sip with a smile in her eyes. "You know what? Today during practice, I suddenly thought about our first meeting. You were a bit shy back then." Lu Zean scratched his head awkwardly. "Not at all; I was just captivated by your charm." They exchanged smiles filled with admiration and affection for one another.
At that moment, the restaurant music shifted to a song they both loved. Lu Zean stood up beside Lin Xiao Yu and slightly bowed while extending his hand. "Beautiful lady, would you honor me with a dance?" Lin Xiao Yu's cheeks flushed as she gently placed her hand in his and stood up to join him on the empty space beside their table.
They swayed gently to the music as Lu Zean whispered in Lin Xiao Yu's ear, "Do you remember that time we walked in the park? You said you hoped to dance under the stars on a beautiful night someday. I never imagined we would realize that here today." Lin Xiao Yu's eyes sparkled with surprise. "I can't believe you remember what I said! Lu Zean, you always bring me unexpected romance."
After their dance concluded, they returned to their seats. Lu Zean raised his glass and gazed deeply into Lin Xiao Yu's eyes. "Darling, here's to our love and our future—cheers!" Lin Xiao Yu lifted her glass too and clinked it lightly against his with a clear and melodious sound. "Cheers! May we always be this happy."
Unbeknownst to them, after several glasses of red wine, a light tipsiness enveloped them like a delicate veil; their cheeks flushed softly as their gazes grew increasingly tender and dreamy.
Stepping out of the restaurant into the night breeze felt refreshing but did nothing to diminish the warmth in their hearts. Once inside their home and after closing the door behind them, Lu Zean eagerly pulled Lin Xiao Yu into his embrace. Their eyes met; in that moment, time seemed to freeze as only their racing hearts spoke of deep affection. Slowly lowering his head, Lu Zean tenderly kissed Lin Xiao Yu's lips—a kiss that began softly yet passionately grew deeper as if he wanted to merge her into his very life.
After what felt like an eternity, they parted slightly, both breathing heavily. Lu Zean held Lin Xiao Yu's hands tightly with deep affection and determination in his eyes as he softly said, "Darling, no matter what happens in our future days together, I will never let go of your hand; I will always be by your side." Lin Xiao Yu tilted her head slightly upward with tears glistening in her eyes—a blend of happiness and emotion shining through as she choked out, "I know; I will always be with you too. We will share every spring, summer, autumn, and winter together."
Lu Zean gently wiped away her tears from the corners of her eyes. "Don't cry; today is a happy day. We will have many more moments like this in the future—let's create more beautiful memories together." Lin Xiao Yu smiled through her tears. "Yes, I believe we will."
Without needing words, their souls embraced tightly in that deep gaze as they stepped forward into a future filled with love and hope that belonged solely to them. In this little world of theirs, they continued writing chapters of their love story—each moment filled with affection and every corner suffused with happiness until night deepened and stars filled the sky above them.
