With Xiao Yu around, there would surely be big fish, so he took his time! Responding to Chang Guadi, he prepared a few Live Shrimp and found a spot to start fishing.
Typically, Apo Fishing only reaches about thirty meters. The Abo isn't as noticeable as the Float, and beyond that distance, it becomes hard to see.
Fortunately, Shi Tian's Abo was produced by Fishing Box and was a large model, distinguishable from ordinary Abos in its design, making it more conspicuous!
Casting out fifty meters of line, Shi Tian could still see the Abo clearly as long as the Feng Lang wasn't too big.
Today, Shi Tian didn't bring any Fish Hooks; not only was he short on time but also on funds. A set of Apo Fishing Hooks costs quite a bit, and giving them away casually could easily waste several Ten Dollars.

Reeling in about ten meters of line and adjusting the drag, Shi Tian felt less anxious. As long as it wasn't a fierce fish like the Hai Wolf Shark, it would be manageable—just a few moves to tire it out, and then it would be at his mercy!
Seeing that Shi Tian had hooked a big fish, Chang Guadi came over.
"Keep the Rod up; don’t rush! Adjust the drag; don’t make it too tight!"
Under Chang Guadi's guidance, the big fish drew closer to shore. After struggling for over ten minutes, when the fish finally surfaced, Shi Tian almost dropped the Rod into Hai Li! The fish was so ugly—could it even be eaten?
It was a Longfin Grouper! Weighing nearly forty pounds! Catching a Longfin Grouper during the day meant he had some good luck! Patting Shi Tian on the shoulder, Chang Guadi grabbed a Net and headed into the water!
The Longfin Grouper typically inhabits shallow waters and prefers tropical environments.
Once Chang Guadi mentioned the Longfin Grouper, Shi Tian felt relieved; this type of fish is rarely caught near the shore.
Longfin Groupers like to dwell on the seabed; for Apo Fishing targeting them, the leader line must be long enough. In Reef Fishing, however, people usually don’t dare to use too long of a leader because it can easily get snagged on the bottom; hence they rarely catch this fish.
Shi Tian's leader line was indeed quite long, but having cast out fifty meters in depth meant that at least ten meters of water lay beneath him! His Hook certainly couldn't reach the bottom.
Even so, being able to catch a Longfin Grouper was quite lucky for Shi Tian!
Dragging the fish up, the Control Fish Tool indicated it weighed thirty-six pounds! Shi Tian's face instantly broke into a grin. The Longfin Grouper isn’t cheap; a wild one this size would easily fetch over a hundred dollars. At a hundred per pound, this fish alone was worth three thousand six hundred, instantly alleviating his financial crisis. He could go online and buy Rare Metals when he got back!
Chang Guadi held the fish up for a photo while Shi Tian snapped a picture and posted it in the group chat, adding a message: "Is anyone interested in buying fish? Thirty-six-pound Longfin Grouper, just caught and still warm!"
Shi Tian had no intention of taking the Longfin Grouper home to eat. Just a couple of days ago, he had fished at a hotel’s cold storage or aquarium; whenever he wanted to eat, he could just go pick it up.

Seeing someone was interested in buying the fish, Shi Tian quickly replied to confirm and placed the fish into his fishing bucket beside him. He then attached Live Shrimp and continued casting his line!
As more people gathered at the Fishing Spot, Shi Tian began to worry. Was Scallion and Ginger to Remove Fishy Smell reliable? What if they stood him up? If they didn’t come to collect the fish, who would he sell it to today?
Not long after, a boat appeared on the surface of the sea. Shi Tian recognized it; it was from that day when someone claimed they came from the Great Eastern Sea. He had even given that person a set of Abo Hooks as their first warm gesture.
Once the boat docked, the person lifted the Longfin Grouper from the bucket and said, "Thirty-six pounds, right? One hundred May Day per pound—five thousand four hundred total. No problem; I’ll take it!"
Shi Tian had initially thought he could only sell it for around three thousand but was thrilled when they offered five thousand four hundred!
"Deal! Cash or QR code?" he asked while pulling out his phone and navigating to the payment screen.
Seeing Shi Tian’s actions, Scallion and Ginger to Remove Fishy Smell smiled awkwardly and scanned the code; five thousand four hundred dollars arrived instantly!
"Next time you have good stuff, message me privately! I’ll pay you top dollar!" After saying this, he took the fish onto the boat and tossed it into the water tank before turning around with a Fishing Box and jumping back down.
The wild Longfin Grouper is priced between one hundred to one hundred fifty, but this is not the purchasing price; it is the selling price. The reason for offering Shi Tian this price is to ensure that he will come back for better goods in the future.
The last time I saw Shi Tian was because he had caught an Ocean Wolf. Just a few days later, he caught a Giant Grouper. Shi Tian's luck with fishing is incredibly high!
I positioned myself next to Shi Tian, baited my hook, and cast my line. Twenty meters away, a splash erupted. I pulled out a pack of cigarettes from my pocket and handed one to Shi Tian. We sat quietly, watching the fish float.
Earlier, Shi Tian had glanced at me, and I noticed he was still using the hooks I had given him, which was reassuring!
Catching big fish isn’t easy. After spending most of the day here, I managed to catch a few Xiao Yu, and Shi Tian decided it was time to reel in and head back.
I made five thousand four hundred in the morning, and in the afternoon, it was time to deliver some benefits. Accumulation is the way to go; otherwise, I wouldn’t know when my Fishing Tackle Shop would finally open!
