With a light kick to Shi Tianyi's foot, Air Force chuckled and explained quickly before rushing off to help Shi Ye and the others set up the fireworks. They were eager to bless their newly acquired custom Fishing Rods, knowing that once the fireworks went off, the grand opening ceremony would be complete, allowing them to fish openly without any reservations.
The flower baskets were not rented; they had simply given a tip when purchasing them, arranging for someone to come by in three days to dispose of them. The baskets were too large to fit in a trash can, and Shi Tian was concerned it would be inconvenient for disposal, so they had made arrangements in advance.
Once the fireworks were set up without any formalities, they lit the fuses. Before the fireworks even exploded, Shi Ye urged Shi Tian to open the door, leaving the two friends who had just arrived in shock.
As the Fishing Tackle Shop opened, the old man was the first customer. He personally grabbed some Live Shrimp without weighing them, scanned his payment, and headed over with his assembled surf rod. Shi Ye and Air Force followed suit, each taking some Live Shrimp and scanning a large Red Envelope before heading to the seaside with the old man. There weren't many fishing spots—only about ten—so whoever got there first would secure the best spot.
Shi Tian was busy assisting two fishing buddies from their group with their line setups. Lu Ya wandered around the shop, picking up various Fishing Rods from the shelves, especially enamored with several Lure Rods that he couldn't bear to put down.
"Xiao Tian, can these Lure Rods be customized?" Lu Ya asked as he placed a Lure Rod on the counter.
The feel and performance of these Ordinary Rods surpassed what most people could imagine. However, Lu Ya had used Customized Rods before and understood the significant difference between Ordinary Rods and Customized Rods; the latter were undoubtedly several levels higher in quality.
"They can be customized, but it will take some time, especially for those Wheels. They require quite a few Rare Metals, which are not easy to obtain!" Shi Tianyi replied casually while continuing to assist his two fishing buddies.
Customized Rods need specially made wheels; those Wheels are made of Alloy material and require various unique materials—most of which Shi Tian had only seen on the periodic table and had never touched in real life.
"Just give me a list of what materials you need. I'll have you customize a set when it's ready!" Lu Ya said as he cradled several Lure Rods in his arms and prepared to scan for payment.
"Brother! Those are Samples! They're just for display!" Shi Tian quickly interjected as he saw Lu Ya about to scan his Samples.
He noticed two more people driving over; soon it would get busy, leaving no time for displaying Samples. Although selling Rods today seemed unlikely, he didn't want Lu Ya moving his Samples around.
After glancing at Shi Tian, Lu Ya shook his head helplessly and picked one of the Lure Rods that hadn’t been unpackaged from the shelf while placing the Samples back down.
"The Line Setup and Jigs are inside the counter; just grab what you need!" After reminding Lu Ya, Shi Tian finally finished setting up lines for both friends.
In fact, there were pre-made lines at the counter; however, Shi Tian wanted them to stay longer in the shop to attract more customers and give them time to look at other items. That’s why he handmade their Line Setups.
"Since it's opening day, I’ll give you both floats and a few sets of Hooks. Be sure to come back if you need anything else!" He handed over the Line Setups as he began greeting two new customers who had just entered.
The two customers received their Line Setups but then turned around to grab some Live Shrimp. After paying, they left slowly with lingering glances at the high-end Lure Rods they had seen earlier during Shi Ye's demonstration. However, upon seeing the price tags, they decisively abandoned their interest.
After all, they weren't willing to spend over a thousand dollars just to upgrade their rods. The Lure Rod was priced at five hundred each while a Wheel was seven hundred—making a full set cost twelve hundred—with Wheels being two dollars more expensive than Rods.
Lure was just carrying a huge pile of Rods out when he entered several eights while scanning the code, and it seemed like he scanned it twice. This was something they never dared to imagine.
After sending this batch to exchange for Line Setups, Shi Tian was about to sneak a glance at the old man's haul when he was blocked by Chang Guadi before he could even step outside.
"Group Owner, after waiting so long, your shop is finally open! Hurry and give me a few sets of Line Setups; I want to throw a few rods over there!"
Chang Guadi was a big spender on Line Setups. If he fished all day without leaving a few sets of Line Setups at Hai Li, that would be disrespectful to the sea!
Welcoming Chang Guadi into the shop, Shi Tian chatted with him while helping him assemble the Line Setup.
"Is this line really as strong as you say?" Chang Guadi asked skeptically, looking at the fishing line in Shi Tian's hand that seemed no different from ordinary fishing line.
Shi Tian had mentioned that his line could withstand three to five times more weight than regular lines, which challenged Chang Guadi's understanding.
Common fishing lines, like Carbon Lines, have a diameter of a millimeter and can handle two to three pounds of weight; some high-end ones can reach over four pounds. Nylon lines have significantly higher strength; for the same diameter, their pulling force is around five pounds.
Dali Ma lines were even more impressive; with the same diameter, they could reach a terrifying eight pounds in strength.
When Shi Tian spoke of three to five times stronger, it was at least based on nylon line standards. After all, his main line was made of nylon, while the hook he provided was equipped with a sub-line.
"Take this roll and find a stone in your yard to test it. This is my line; see how much weight you can lift!" Shi Tian confidently handed Chang Guadi an unopened roll of line from under the counter.
He had tested this line before and found it much sturdier than Dali Ma. He could lift nearly half a bucket of water without breaking the line.
Dali Ma lines were useful but too soft for main lines; they either tangled or snapped. Shi Tian's line had a texture somewhat similar to nylon and didn't tangle easily. As for snapping rods—sorry, but that was guaranteed not to happen!
As Chang Guadi took the line out to play with it, two others rode up on Electric Cars to pick up their Line Setups right at the shop entrance. They recognized Chang Guadi, and upon hearing about testing the line's strength, they became very enthusiastic!
