Equipped with a Rod Bag and a sunshade, one could consider themselves adequately prepared. This is the point where we can introduce the Rod; they have encountered numerous Rods and have a basic understanding of their performance. Once they get their hands on the Rods in the store, there’s no turning back for them!
With the complete Line Setup provided, once they get accustomed to it, any future equipment needs will surely lead them back to me. After all, having grown used to finer things, they no longer have any interest in ordinary goods!
Sun Lang is merely a novice fisherman, with just a Ma Zha and a rod. The additional gear he acquired was merely an excuse to get closer to Su Xueyi; his intentions were far from pure at that time!
“I’m done with fishing; I won’t do it anymore!” Sun Lang declared firmly after glancing at Su Xueyi.
What could be better than being with a girl? Whether it’s the scent or the sight, it brings sweetness to the heart. Why would anyone choose to fish for stinky fish when there’s such a lovely person around?
“Not fishing anymore? When did you decide that?” Shi Tian asked in disbelief, momentarily taken aback.
After finally dragging him into this hobby, he actually wants to quit? That’s just too disappointing!
“Ever since I met Xiao Xue, I’ve given up fishing!” Sun Lang said with a smug expression as he glanced at Su Xueyi.
“So according to you, it’s not that you don’t want to fish; it’s because Xiao Xue won’t let you?” Shi Tian smiled slyly and added, “Xiao Xue, are you taking the blame for this?”
Before Su Xueyi could respond, Sun Lang jumped up in alarm and pointed at Shi Tian, shouting, “Shi Tian, you little thief! You’re framing me! That’s not what I meant! You’re just jealous! You single dog!”
After some playful banter with Sun Lang, Shi Tian felt a bit more confident again.
Having spent some time with a few older gentlemen lately, he felt his intelligence had taken a hit. Unknowingly, he had been outsmarted by these old foxes, leaving him feeling somewhat withdrawn.
Now it seemed clear that it wasn’t his fault; it was those old men who were the problem. It wasn’t that he was lacking in smarts; rather, those old fellows were like cunning foxes—especially the older ones.
At six in the afternoon, Su Xueyi finished work. Sun Lang left with her, and the two rode off on a bicycle leisurely.
Sitting on a bicycle while laughing truly painted a beautiful picture. If one had a BMW at home yet could still enjoy riding a bicycle while laughing, that would be even more perfect!
Everyone has some degree of vanity. Even someone like Sun Lang, who usually keeps to himself, would occasionally show off in front of someone he loves.
A movie once said that liking someone is indulgence while loving someone is restraint. Others have said that liking is possession while love is tolerance.
Showing off material possessions in front of someone you love is something Sun Lang would never do. Aside from material things, all he could offer were his years of military experience.
Sun Lang had been to war—not for destruction but for construction—under the guise of Peacekeeping!
The so-called Peacekeeping involves bringing people along with weapons to repair bridges, lay roads, dig wells, and build rudimentary hospitals. For those war-torn countries, such help is quite limited.
In previous Peacekeeping missions, real guns and bullets were involved; however, there were some incidents a few years ago in Mogadishu.
The Peacekeeping Forces forcibly confiscated weapons and ended up being surrounded and beaten by local militia. The Black Eagle was shot down, resulting in the loss of twenty to thirty Peacekeeping Soldiers' lives and injuries to hundreds of Peacekeeping Forces as well as thousands of local militia and civilians.
From that moment on, Peacekeeping was no longer allowed to directly participate in local armed conflicts. You fight your battles, and we build our own. We are on a mission while you are fighting for your lives; let’s keep to our own paths and ensure our mutual safety.
In reality, building things in a country ravaged by war doesn’t have much impact. Yet, you still have to go; if the war ends and the spoils are being divided, sending someone over means you’ll get a share of the pie!
The spoils of war aren’t divided based on effort but rather on strength. Even if I send just one person to the negotiation table, as long as they have enough power, they can grab the biggest piece of the pie!
Sun Lang’s Peacekeeping career wasn’t long. Danger was inevitable; with full gear, dealing with those mud-legged fighters was manageable. However, after witnessing too much bloodshed and slaughter throughout his Peacekeeping career, he became deeply depressed.
His depression had a name and a face; it seemed to be quite popular lately—Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or something like that! But seeing him laughing and chatting with Su Xueyi, it was hard to tell he had any trauma or stress at all!
Shi Tian didn’t feel much about Sun Lang’s story, but it moved Su Xueyi to tears. She clung to one of Sun Lang’s arms, making him look quite charming as he blushed.
Once they left, Shi Tian could only sit quietly in the shop. Sitting on a chair at the door, Shi Tian looked up at the sky; it didn’t seem like it was going to rain at all. Was the weather forecast really that accurate?
The credibility of Sanya's weather forecast wasn’t nearly as high as the credibility of Sun Lang’s stories; Shi Tian felt something was off about it.
Ignoring Sun Lang, Shi Tian wondered what Shui Laoban and the others had caught that warranted such secrecy—were they afraid someone would peek? Should he sneak a glance? Would that be too rude?
Maybe he should check the surveillance footage? But finding anything in that long stretch of time wouldn’t be an easy task!
