Baiting hooks are measured by the pot, with a single line having a sub-line tied every two meters, each about half a meter long, and hooks attached to these sub-lines. Once the hooks are secured, lead weights are tied to both ends of the line, followed by a section of line connected to a large float. This setup is essential.
Baiting hooks are primarily used for float fishing; you don't want the hooks sinking to the bottom. The seabed is rocky, and getting snagged would be troublesome. If the sub-line breaks, it's manageable, but if the main line snaps, that would be a real hassle!
