Calmly had given up on the Bigeye Mullet, realizing that no matter how big they were, catching one would be more trouble than it was worth. He would much rather have a Little Black Sea Bream instead!
The Bigeye Mullet was a bottom-dwelling fish, so he adjusted the cotton line, raising it a bit to fish deeper. This time, it should work better!
Wang Ergou had managed to catch a fish, and soon more people began to gather around him. Some drifted over casually, while others cast their lines from a distance. The Bigeye Mullet might not be valuable, but it was a test of skill! Everyone wanted to take on the challenge, including Calmly.
Since it was a mid-water fish, he needed to let the hook sink. He switched to a floating Mino, cast his line, and allowed the Jig to slowly sink to the bottom. He lifted it twice to let the Jig rise slightly before letting it sink again.
Then, Calmly got snagged!
"Wow, Ran Ge! It's a big one! Come on, let me get a picture of you! Pull it in!"
Seeing Calmly snagged, Wang Ergou forgot about his own rod and pulled out his phone to start recording, immediately aiming it at Calmly!
The fishing conditions were good here, but getting snagged was frustrating—just like at the Breakwater. It was quite troublesome.
If he had hooked a fish, it would have been fine; he could loosen the line and let the fish struggle a bit before bringing it up. But Calmly's hook had nothing on it! He could only glare at Wang Ergou with annoyance.

Fearing the Electric Car Guy's complaints and negative reviews, the online store owner eventually gave in after much back-and-forth and persuaded him to apply for a refund.
As soon as the Electric Car Guy clicked for the refund, the store owner understood what was happening and immediately blacklisted him—making future orders impossible!
After venting about the online store, he couldn't shake off thoughts of that big fish from earlier. He couldn't eat lunch!
No way—he had to go back for revenge; he wouldn't rest until he caught that fish!
With his wife out of the house, he dug into his secret stash of money and pulled out six crisp bills. The Electric Car Guy hopped on his Electric Car and headed straight for the Fishing Tackle Shop.
He had made sure to check things out earlier that day; Shi Tian had mentioned that the rods in that shop were indeed of good quality. And just as Shi Tian said, buying a rod came with free line—though not two spools as Shi Tian claimed; there was only one!
Perhaps the shopkeeper was taking advantage of him by shortchanging him! But that didn’t matter; when he slapped those six bills on the counter, he didn’t believe they wouldn’t compromise!
"I want an Iso Rod—the one for six hundred! But I’ve heard that buying rods here comes with two spools of line—don’t try to fool me!" The Electric Car Guy confidently stated as he placed his money on the counter.
"Two spools of line? I haven't heard anything about that," Sun Lang replied, looking puzzled by the Electric Car Guy's request.
"Where did you hear that? What else did you find out?" Rubbing his nose in confusion, Sun Lang turned around and grabbed a rod set for the Electric Car Guy to place on the counter while smiling cheerfully.
"Two Hooks included!" said the Electric Car Guy decisively as he checked the Rod.
Shi Tian mentioned that the line came with two sets, which is why there was an extra set for him. Since the line was surplus, the Hook must also be excess. Doing the math, buying a Rod comes with two sets of Hooks, and that logic makes perfect sense!
"Our lines are sturdy; one spool is enough!" With the boss absent, I’ll give you an Abo, which is much more valuable than a spool of line! But don’t tell anyone outside; if the boss hears about it, I’ll get docked! Rubbing his chin, Sun Lang thought for a moment before speaking.
Buying an Iso Rod comes with a set of Line Setups, that’s what Shi Tian decided. When this guy mentioned giving away two sets of Hooks, Sun Lang felt reassured!
Who does he think he’s looking down on? Buying a Rod, we usually start with five sets of Hooks! When did we become so stingy as to only give away two sets?
Not to mention buying a Rod, even if someone comes in just for a box of worms, we’d still throw in a few sets of Hooks. Nowadays, many people come in asking for worms without even mentioning the Hooks, just wanting to buy a box of worms and then having to pick out the specific models they need!
Glancing at the price tag for the line and then at the price for the Abo, one Abo could be exchanged for two or three spools of line. This clerk is generous; they know how to deal!
"Thank you! Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone!" With a smile, the Electric Car Guy tucked away the Rod and patted his chest softly.
One Abo, one spool of line, and five sets of Hooks were laid out before the Electric Car Guy. A slight smile appeared on Sun Lang’s face!
"Quickly take it; don’t let anyone see! Otherwise, I’ll be in trouble!" With that warning, Sun Lang reached out to collect six large bills, feeling them in his hand before tossing them into the cash register.
Looking at the five sets of Hooks on the counter, the Electric Car Guy glanced around and discreetly stuffed them into his pocket when no one was watching. He quickly pulled out a cigarette and offered one to Sun Lang.
"I’m sticking with you from now on! Whenever I need more Fishing Gear, I’ll come find you!" He gave a thumbs up to Sun Lang, and they exchanged smiles, both pleased with the arrangement.
With that, the Electric Car Guy hopped onto his Electric Car and sped off towards Liudao Bay.
