"Are you hungry? I haven't had dinner either. How about we eat together? I'll cook!" Li Ziyu said as he dropped Shi Tian off at the entrance of his villa. He opened the car door, and Shi Tian turned back to look at him and asked.
"Ah! Do you have ingredients at home? Should I call someone to bring some over?" Hearing Shi Tian's invitation, Li Ziyu smiled slightly and did not refuse.
"No, I have ingredients at home. Just leave everything to me; you just wait for dinner!" Leading Li Ziyu inside, Shi Tian patted his chest confidently.
Diving into the kitchen, Shi Tian began preparing dinner while Li Ziyu wandered into the yard to check out Shi Tian's Xiao Ren Lake.
In his fish pond, there were a few koi, but they looked a bit dull. Since Shi Tian went fishing every day, Li Ziyu wondered what kind of fish he had raised. If possible, he thought about taking a few back with him to keep his koi company!
After staring at Shi Tian's Xiao Ren Lake for a while without spotting anything interesting, an undeterred Li Ziyu turned on the flashlight on his phone. With the light shining down, he finally saw several small Xiao Yu swimming around, looking quite beautiful from above!
But these fish seemed too small! If he took such tiny Xiao Yu back to live with his koi, would they end up as food for them? However, it wouldn't be a bad thing to provide some meat for the koi; that would help them grow faster!
After a moment of contemplation, Li Ziyu returned inside just in time to see Shi Tian coming out of the kitchen.
"What kind of fish do you have in your pond? Why are they so small?" Li Ziyu asked curiously after swallowing a mouthful of food.
Though the fish in Shi Tian's pond were small, they looked quite cute. He wondered if they could be kept together with the koi; if they could coexist, that would be perfect!
"They're Azure Catfish given by a friend; they only grow this big!" Seeing Li Ziyu's interest in the Azure Catfish, Shi Tian smiled slightly. "You can scoop up ten or so to take back and put in your fish pond. Don't underestimate their size; they're quite effective at purifying water!"
Shi Tian was generous, but Li Ziyu felt hesitant and shook his head. "No thanks; I'm afraid they'll get eaten by the koi!"
Koi are omnivorous fish and could indeed eat Azure Catfish. However, since their fish weren't kept in a tank but rather in a pond with such a large area, as long as the koi weren't starving, they probably wouldn't bother the Azure Catfish.
"Just find a shallow area that doesn't get much sun. If they're in deep water, the koi will definitely eat them," Shi Tian said thoughtfully. He wasn't entirely sure since he hadn't raised fish before. He had previously considered sneaking some koi from Ren Lake but now realized he needed to think it through carefully after what Li Ziyu had said!
After dinner, the two of them grabbed fishing rods and tossed in some plastic particles before catching seven more koi. However, when they reached Li Ziyu's front door, it still didn't open for Shi Tian; after being politely turned away by Li Ziyu at the entrance, he left with his head hanging low.
Back in his room, lying on his bed and checking his accumulated points, he found he had just reached one hundred thousand—still quite far from one million—but new products had appeared!
This time it wasn't fishing gear; it was a menu. When Shi Tian opened the Fishing Menu, a word popped up: "Feed."
The feed menu contained only one item: fish food, which puzzled Shi Tian a bit.
He had been raising fish and had already raised two hundred Azure Catfish for several days now; why was this menu only showing up now?
Could it be that the Azure Catfish were breeding? Or perhaps there were baby Azure Catfish hatching in Xiao Ren Lake? But those thoughts seemed irrelevant now; since he had fish food available, he decided to explore it first!
Opening the feed menu revealed various names of fish starting from Bitterling to Mai Sui, Qiao Zui, and Ma Kou—all listed out in dizzying detail—except there was no feed for Azure Catfish.
Feed has its own uses; it doesn't necessarily have to be for raising fish because it displayed four big characters: "Can be used for Wo Liao!"
Little did he know how effective the bait for "Wo Liao" would be. If it worked, it would be impressive and might even lead to a big catch!
Unfortunately, he lacked the complete materials and couldn't create "Wo Liao" just yet. Perhaps he could first test it on the koi in "Ren Lake"!
Early the next morning, before dawn, Shi Tian drove his beloved Electric Mini, which he had pampered for over half a month, to the market. The recipe for "Wo Liao" required various ingredients that could only be found there!
Following the list he had prepared the night before, Shi Tian gathered all the necessary materials and rushed back to the villa. He decided to start with a pound of Carp Bait for a trial run!
When testing "Wo Liao," Carp Bait was undoubtedly the best choice. With so many koi in "Ren Lake," and the water being clear enough to see the bottom, it was perfect for observation during the experiment!
